Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives

So .. our 12th trip back to Atmosphere Kanifushi as no year should start without a dose of this wonderful relaxing piece of Maldivian island life🙌 If you read my past reviews of AK you will get the general idea of how we view this island compared to other lovely islands we've been lucky enough to visit in the Maldives, but it's well worth re-iterating why this particular island is - in our view - a better overall destination than others. I really love the small Maldivian islands like Baros and Zitahli, but having ambled down the length of this lovely island many times over the years, its much longer than average beach never fails to impress. The staff are honestly like family to us and even though one might expect this after twelve visits, it really has been the same since the very first time we arrived here. Every member of staff from the pool team, garden team, front of house, chefs and various tiers of management all follow the same simple lead .. service with a genuine smile. Has everything always run to plan - no. Has the way any problem has been dealt with impressed us in terms of the way it is seamlessly dealt with and rectified - yes !! This is their secret 👏👏 As stated before, I have very high expectations when it comes to service standards in general and I always expect exactly what we have been lead to believe will be delivered whether in a seaside b&b or five star resort. This is often not the case with many of the so called top flight resorts one tries. At Atmosphere Kanifushi you are treated like long lost friends by staff who come together to ensure your personal experience will be memorable. This trip offered the same smiling faces & professional service we know so well & have come to expect: Abdullah who heads up Sunset and Ibaadh who runs Pier Six are both long standing members of the AK fraternity who we first met on out first trip to AK many years ago & are cornerstones of each trip back we make .. thank you both for your generosity & the usual meticulous attention to detail. A special thanks to the Sunset team who once again went above and beyond the expected norm to ensure we had a truly wonderful time. Thapa and Renu at Sunset are shining lights when it comes to delivering service with a genuine smile, even under the greatest of pressure. The various Chefs we know including Kundan who we have been pestering to make us local curries for many years, Deva at Sunset who always takes pride in every plate he offers up & makes the time to speak to you each day & Oscar who we got to know this year & who offered us great advice for a potential trip we intend taking to his home state of Goa in India and who offered us 'off the list' delights including Guinea Fowl one evening. Adam who tended our room - great job and Melinda says a personal thank you for the little extras including several bubble baths and leaf / sand messages in and out of the villa. Special thanks to Raman who is always there providing level headed commentary on everything from world wines to world affairs and who ensures our time at AK is a more fulfilled experience - we greatly appreciate your intuition 🙏 Finally Ram, your calm management style and warm demeanour is what shapes Atmosphere Kanifushi into the welcoming Maldivian haven it is 🙌 We cant wait to return to our second home next year 😁

Location was incredible Atmosphere, even better Room, outstanding. Felt better than home. Service was also really good. Missed that they came to ask if you needed anything when at the pools. Excursions, highly recommended. Ayaan got us everything we needed. Nice guy. We'll be back if my bonus allows it. 9.5/10

It was amazing oh the food was mmm!!

We visited Maldives for the first time celebrating our 60th birthday On arrival we had the most amazing , warm welcome at the arrival jetty . This place is an absolute paradise, so , so beautiful , checking in was an efficient experience with a glass of champagne, our GRO Aayan was there to show and explain everything and helped us book restaurant, sunset cruise etc. The most breathtaking bit was when we walked into our sunset water villa with pool , WOW . Just beautiful . Bath was already run with rose petals perfect temperature to just get into after a long journey, we stayed in Villa 420 , saw lots of colourful fishes . Elemis toiletries provided . Akash took care of the cleaning of our room and turn down service, we always came into a perfectly clean room , he was so helpful too. Food is brilliant with a great selection of restaurants and food variety. The premium all inclusive is superb with regards to choice of drinks and food. Siko at Pier 6 was our waiter for evening meal and few times at breakfast, very friendly guy . 45 minutes spa treatment was included in our package, we had Janet do our back massage, she was absolutely amazing, so very relaxed after that . I love that bikes are provided to cycle around the island , although buggies were readily available. Rau fitted us with snorkelling gear , he was full of great advice to make our snorkelling experience the best. Each and every member of staff at this establishment is so very friendly they went above and beyond to make our holiday so very special. Thank you. We will definitely visit Atmosphere again in the near future but I would stay longer this time at least 10-12 days

We had an amazing time at Atmosphere Kanifushi. The Maldives certainly lived up to expectations and the facilities at the resort were exceptional as were the lovely people who work there. We had an over the water villa and saw so much sea life including turtles, sharks, stingrays, dolphins and fish galore. Definitely recommend the shark snorkelling - it was unbelievable! The food was good quality and we found riding the bikes a great way to get around. The seaplane transfers were all well coordinated and our Virgin flights were great. All in all an amazing experience.
