Dhigufaru Island Resort

Our stay at Dhigufaru Island Resort left us with the warmest and most wonderful memories. From the very first moment, we received a beautiful Maldivian welcome with traditional drums, performed by Munir, which immediately made us feel truly welcomed. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and the staff were always attentive, friendly, and caring. Special thanks to Kusum, Akil, Ankit, and the entire restaurant team. We would especially like to thank Raj and his assistant Jahid. Raj is truly one of the best employees at the resort—always attentive, responsive, and ready to help with any request. Our room was always perfectly clean, comfortable, and welcoming. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here, which made this holiday especially memorable for us. Thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful experience. Inshallah, we will definitely return again!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dhigufaru Island Resort. From the moment we arrived until the very last day, everything was perfect. The island is beautiful, both above and below the water. We loved exploring the incredible marine life, enjoying the beautiful beaches and simply spending time together as a family in such an amazing setting. What really made our stay special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive and always ready to help. Throughout our stay, we genuinely felt that the whole team was doing everything possible to make our experience perfect. A very special thank you to Mary, the Front Office Supervisor. From our arrival to our departure, she was always incredibly kind, attentive and professional. She regularly made sure that everything was going well for us and was always available whenever we needed anything. Her warmth and genuine care for guests perfectly represent the hospitality we experienced at Dhigufaru. She is a real credit to the resort and truly contributed to making our stay unforgettable. We leave Dhigufaru with wonderful memories, both underwater and on land, and with the feeling that we chose exactly the right place for our family holiday. Our stay at Dhigufaru was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by breathtaking scenery, crystal-clear waters, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it so difficult to leave. The island is simply magical. Of course, like any resort, there are a few small areas that could still be improved, but they are far outweighed by everything that makes this place so special. We had an amazing experience and would absolutely recommend it. What really made our stay exceptional were the people. A special thank you to Roshan, our Housekeeping, who was always kind, attentive, and ready to help whenever we needed anything. But above all, we want to thank Thilak. He is, without a doubt, one of the kindest, warmest, and most helpful people we have ever met. His genuine smile, attention to every detail, and willingness to go above and beyond made us feel truly cared for every single day. He didn’t just provide outstanding service—he created unforgettable memories and made our holiday feel magical. People like Thilak are incredibly rare, and Dhigufaru is very lucky to have him. Thank you for making our dream vacation even more special. We will never forget your kindness and hope to see you again someday.

This is a beautiful relaxed " barefoot" island. We didn't wear shoes or flipflops for the entire time we were there however it is not a five star resort as advertised. The things we liked. The accommodation is lovely, we had a semi over water villa to start with but the sea was rough, apparently its like this for June July and August, and the noise was a bit more than we anticipated, so we moved to a beach villa. Both were beautiful, well equipped and very comfortable. The beach villa was very quiet. The staff are brilliant, with nothing being too much trouble. We were met by Zia who looked after us for the length of our stay. 5 nights. His patience with 2 oldies was very much appreciated. He was friendly and helpful at all times and if we had a problem he was there to sort it. All communication is done via WhatsApp on the Island. The staff in the restaurant must be mentioned as they work hard to make sure you are well looked after. Ankit and Kusum really looked after us well, my husband has reduced mobility and they did everything they could to help. Diya must also be mentioned for her customer interaction and her lovely smile. However, although dinner is served until 9pm, if you are much after 8pm very often the food has run out and the choices are reduced, especially desserts. Sheets are not ironed for eco reasons and I respect that, but as a five star resort, cool ironed sheets are welcome at the end of a hot day. However I am in favor of our towels not being changed at all during our stay. The staff at the dive school could be more helpful and it was disappointing that the trips offered were not able to take place as the resort was half empty, apparently, and there weren't enough takers. Therefore I didn't get to do the snorkeling that I went for. The reef around the hotel was OK but not too exciting. We did the sunset fishing trip, that was good fun and I was pleased that on the dolphin watching trip, when dolphins were sighted, they were not chased and hounded as happens in other parts of the world. The other thing to be aware of is that the sea plane lands at a fixed pontoon and if the sea is rough this can be quite hairy. My only other concern is that when I was communicating with the resort they were unable to find our booking by name and date, only by the booking number. As this is a small resort, they advertise themselves on personal attention, this surprised me. Trying to find booking numbers in the middle of Mumbai airport when you are managing cases and a wheelchair was a challenge I could have done without. We had a good holiday and its a lovely island but five nights was enough. Would we return. Doubtful as there are many other islands to visit.

Wow ! This barefoot island is paradise, from the island wildlife , sea life , the amazing staff , the food , just everything you could want for a relaxing 5 star holiday . You are made so welcome from the moment you arrive. This was our second visit and we will be going back , you feel like you’re part of a family . Every single member of staff are just outstanding, friendly and kind , Ankit, Zia and Bushi to name just a few . The food is 5 star , so many cuisines catered for, all so fresh every meal time your spoilt for choice ! It’s hard to find all the right words to justify this beautiful island , but I know we had the time of our lives there and the memories we have will last forever.
