Dhigufaru Island Resort

This island resort is truly paradise. Our accommodation was lovely and all the staff (especially Zia) were warm, friendly and attentive. The lagoon surrounding the island is stunning and we loved walking barefoot around the island - including in the bar and restaurants - on pure white sand. Would totally recommend this resort.

This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The photos and description of the property are far from reality. The biggest shock was the food. On several occasions, food showing clear signs of spoilage was served, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this standard and poses a serious health risk to guests. The entire resort was poorly maintained. Dirt, mould and mildew were visible in many areas, and the pool umbrellas were covered with mould. The furniture throughout the resort, including the common areas, was damaged, worn out and in desperate need of replacement. What concerned us the most, however, was the condition of the pool area. There were broken wooden boards with sharp edges sticking out from the pool deck, where children were running and playing every day. This presented a serious safety hazard, yet despite being reported, it was never repaired during our stay. The greatest disappointment was the hotel's response. We reported these issues several times, but no effective action was taken and most of our complaints were simply ignored. We cannot recommend this hotel. If you value cleanliness, safety and basic hygiene standards, we strongly advise choosing a different property.

We always wanted to visit Maldives. So we decided to book for our 30th anniversary, to Dhigufaru. What can I say, but "Marvelous, and beautiful. Such a relaxing trip. The island was perfect. We loved every minute of it, from the staff, food and beautiful white clean beaches. We couldn't fault it. So many people recommend Maldives, but you have to see it with your own eyes and feel that white beautiful sand between your toes. It was honestly like a reset button for us. The staff are amazing, especially our friends from the watersports and bar . A bartender named, Thilak, was amazing. Always smiling and always made the most amazing cocktails. Definitely going back !! We love you , Dhigufaru

TERRIBLE resort!! Our stay at this hotel was the biggest disappointment of all our travels. The property looks nothing like the promotional photos. Instead, we found neglected facilities, damaged furniture, and a general lack of care for guests' safety. Exposed wooden boards by the pool, worn-out furniture, and the overall condition of the resort made it clear that proper maintenance had been neglected for a long time. The most concerning issue, however, was the level of hygiene. The quality of the food raised serious concerns, and after consuming one of the products, we experienced health problems. What was supposed to be a dream vacation turned into a stressful and deeply disappointing experience. In our opinion, this resort does not meet the standards that anyone would expect from a luxury hotel. Had we known the true condition of the property before our trip, we would never have booked it. We cannot recommend this hotel and strongly advise anyone who values cleanliness, safety, and quality to think twice before staying here.

Best trip of our life. We had our wedding here and Ziya and the team made it the best day of our lives. The ceremony set up was stunning alongside the staff with the traditional drummers and flower ladies. The words that were used in our ceremony were very emotional aswell which added to the whole experience. The bouquet was flown in from Male and was stunning and the photographer was amazing! We have been looking non stop at our photos. Ziya put in so much hard work for our special day and we are so grateful to him. The hotel itself is stunning, the beaches are paradise and the room was amazing. We thought there wasn’t much marine life at first but then we saw an eagle ray swimming in the lagoon in front of our water villa, then we saw a few huge sing rays and at night is when the sharks come out. We loved going to the jetty in the evening and shark spotting. The food is the best all inclusive food we have ever had. We couldn’t get enough of it and there was such a variety. The restaurant staff were amazing and knew our drinks and how we liked them after the first day. The only downsides (which are nothing to do with the hotel/resort) is that we went in June and our first day was pure rain so I was very nervous incase this was going to be the weather for the entire week, however on the second day it was fine and we had amazing weather the rest of the week. We unfortunately weren’t able to see Manta rays, we tried twice but they weren’t there, apparently it’s better to go in August time for Mantas. Also be prepared to wait a few hours for the seaplane, again not dhigufarus fault but we had to wait a bit for our seaplane which meant our entire journey was 29 hours. But it was completely worth it and we can’t wait to come back one day.
