Jawakara Islands Maldives

From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The beach is absolutely stunning – powder fine white coral sand, perfect for long walks and swimming, with crystal clear turquoise water. The lagoon is ideal, calm, and incredibly inviting. The snorkeling is outstanding. There are excellent snorkeling spots directly around the island where we saw sea turtles, large schools of fish, colorful reef fish of all kinds, and even barracudas, rays and eagle rays. An unforgettable underwater experience. We stayed in Beach Pool Villas, which were beautiful, modern, and very spacious and super clean. Everything felt new and well maintained. The minibar was always fully stocked, which added to the feeling of effortless luxury. In our opinion the best place for the beach-pool-villas are on the sunrise side of the island. It is in our opinion the best beach with the clearest water for swimming and snorkeling. The service was truly excellent – extremely friendly, fast, and always service oriented. A special mention goes to our dedicated butler Mohammed, who took exceptional care of us. He organized everything perfectly, made reservations in advance of our arrival for themed restaurant and for the sunset boat tour, where we were lucky enough to see many dolphins – an absolute must do. We also loved that each beach villa comes with two bicycles, allowing us to explore the island at our own pace and even ride to the neighboring island. Unfortunately, first 2-3 days no bicycle where available. This is a point that the resort should provide form the very fist day for all villas. The buggy service worked flawlessly as well – pickups were always quick, with no long waiting times. The restaurants and bars are beautifully designed, the breakfast buffet is excellent, and the overall food quality and beverages (wine, sparkling wine..) are very good. If there is one area for improvement, it would be to add a bit more variety and “wow” moments in the dining experience in the main restaurants. This is truly complaining at high level. All in all, Jawakara Islands delivered a dream holiday with stunning nature, outstanding service, and a relaxed yet luxurious atmosphere. We will definitely return. Highly recommended.

We’ve just come back from yet another (our 3rd)amazing stay at Jawakara. This place never seems to disappoint. Yes, on this occasion the hotel occupancy was much higher but when you move away from the restaurant or communal pools then the resort returns to its quiet, serene best. The immaculate white sandy beach on the sunset side remains quiet all day and you can often take a walk in the morning to breakfast without seeing a sole. As ever it’s the staff who make this place so special. All so friendly and approachable across every department. Our Guest Host Jaseen was great, always immediately available to help out with any request we had but also proactively checking in to see if everything as ok. We spent an evening on the associated Nala island. Lalith, the F & B manager there was so attentive, taking time out from his busy day to show us around and ensuring our evening there was so special. Of special note is Kali is the Saima Restaurant. So friendly and engaging with all the guests but at the same time he keeps an eye on what else is going on around to ensure the best possible experience for all dinners. The premium all inclusive package is want it says on the tin. Everything you could need is included in it. Very comprehensive and clear with no faffing around with having to pay extra for this or that. This includes the mini bar in the villa which is well restocked every day The bikes and snorkels/flippers and free boat trips are also a very nice touch. One downside we noticed this time… unoccupied sunbed bagging from first thing in the morning particularly at the Bonthi pool area. This is something you might come across at hotels in Spain, Greece etc but not something we’d expect to see at a 5 star resort like this one. We had a beach pool villa so this didn’t cause us a problem but it’s a very unfortunate trend which we think the management team need to nip in the bud before it becomes the norm. The evening entertainment, of which there is something every night, is definitely low key. It was fine for us but if you are someone who likes lots of higher energy, organised things in the evening then you might be disappointed. Overall though this resort is simply terrific. Definitely on the cards for a return visit.

We stayed at Jawakara Island Resort in the Maldives, on Mabin Island, and we were left with only wonderful impressions. Overall, everything was excellent — the vacation turned out exactly how you imagine the Maldives. A peaceful atmosphere, incredible nature, the ocean, and a true feeling of relaxation. The food was good: nothing overly fancy or gourmet, but everything was tasty, fresh, and there was always a decent variety to choose from. We would also like to highlight the housekeeping — it was excellent. The room was always perfectly clean, everything well maintained, and it was very pleasant to come back after spending time at the beach or exploring the island. The service on the island was warm, friendly, and very attentive. You can really feel that the staff genuinely try to make guests comfortable. A special thank you to our butler Nipun. He was always in touch and ready to help with any questions. Even when he had a day off, he still told us who we could contact if we needed anything, and sometimes he would answer questions himself if he could help. That level of care is truly appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay. But, as they say, the Maldives are the Maldives — a place you always want to return to. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

We had the most wonderful holiday at Jawakara. We were met by Lauretta who looked after us throughout our stay and was wonderful! She kept us updated each day of the activities we had booked and was always on hand to help. Our villa was superb, very well equipped, comfortable bed, and we loved the outdoor bathroom. The restaurants are excellent, good choice of food and one of the best all inclusives weve stayed at, we particularly liked the Maldivian food nights and the salads that were individually prepared for you. Everyone who works there is very friendly, they have great staff who make you feel very special and welcome. I’d recommend Jawakara as a fantastic place to visit, you won’t be disappointed.
