Jawakara Islands Maldives

It was absolutely fantastic — from the service to the food to every little detail. It simply doesn't get any better than this. A huge thank you to everybody.

We stayed 5 nights at Dheru Island, first in a Beach Pool Villa (3 nights) and then in a Water Pool Villa (2 nights), which allowed us to experience both types of accommodation. Arrival / Departure & Transfer After arriving in Malé, we transferred to the seaplane terminal and waited about one hour in the lounge before boarding. The 45-minute seaplane flight to Jawakara was smooth and scenic. On departure, the return journey took longer because of an additional resort pickup, with the full transfer from checkout until receiving our luggage at the international airport taking around 3 hours. Seaplane flight times can therefore vary depending on passenger load, routing, weather, daylight and additional resort stops. Guests should allow a generous time buffer when planning their onward journey. Resort Layout Jawakara is spread across two connected islands, Mabin and Dheru. Mabin is larger and hosts most of the facilities, while Dheru is the smaller and quieter island. Guests staying on either island can use the facilities on both islands. Bicycles are available, and buggies can also be requested to move around the resort. We personally enjoyed walking between and around both islands, which gave the resort a spacious and relaxed feel. Villas The Beach Pool Villa had direct beach access, a private pool (1.1m deep) and good snorkeling in front of the villa. The Water Pool Villa was the highlight, with better privacy, a larger pool of approximately 4 × 3m and 1.5m deep, and direct sea access with a sandy seabed and easy swimming. Villa location can affect the view and privacy, but management was helpful in arranging a villa that suited our preference. Dining We enjoyed Vela Buffet Restaurant, the semi à la carte restaurant, and especially UMI Japanese Restaurant over the water on Dheru Island, which was excellent. Our only disappointing dining experience was Molo, the Italian restaurant on Mabin Island, where we did not find the food tasty. We wished we had tried the American restaurant instead. Activities & Spa The sunset cruise with dolphins, snorkeling and Jet Ski were highlights of our stay. The resort also offers golf, Padel Tennis and a football field. There is a large indoor games room on Dheru Island with table tennis, billiards, air hockey and table football. There was also evening entertainment during our stay, including movie nights, live music and Maldivian folklore dance performances across both Mabin and Dheru islands. The overwater spa was excellent, with a peaceful and relaxing setting. Service The staff were friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. We especially appreciated the support from Aiham, Ismail and Youbraj, as well as having a dedicated host (Aiham) available through WhatsApp. Activity and spa booking could be improved, as availability was sometimes limited or poorly timed, particularly for shorter stays. Management was responsive and solution-oriented, and whenever something needed attention, they responded quickly and helped resolve it. Overall Jawakara is a great choice for guests who want a spacious two-island resort with variety and flexibility. Overall, we had a very enjoyable Maldives experience, with strong service and a good balance of beach living, overwater living, activities, dining and relaxation.

We enjoyed every minute of the stay here. The resort is beautiful,we were swimming with Raya,reef sharks AMD other fish rights in front of our villa:)!. Every person grom the Staff was helpfull and kind. Rubina help US with everything:) just a perfect time here!!! Food was perfect and we enjoyed also umi and molo restaurant:). Kind refards for everybody,Krishna from restaurant and (sorry for not remembering the name) Indonesian Mam who knows few world's im Polish and Daniel from diving center for manta search. Thank you for everything!!!!

Very nice place, Villa was wonderfull especially bathroom without roof!! Crew is the Best of the best of the best . Miss Romina especially. Everyting wonderfull. And was a such views!!!!! Thank you all!!!!!

Top Location, hd a wonderful 10days stay. Everything was taken care of, we felt like we have been to paradise. Rubina, our host, was superb, everything was arranged , she was always there for us and made our stay even more perfect.
