Kandima

Had an amazing time at Kandima Maldives! Special thanks to Kira — the volleyball class was so much fun, and she was always super friendly and energetic. The parties and activities she was involved in were great too. She really made the experience even better!

We had a lovely stay at Kandima. The resort was beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed the activities, classes, and shows, and the staff were welcoming — special thanks to Kira for being so friendly and helpful. We stayed in both the Beach Villa and Aqua Villa, and honestly would recommend trying both as each offers a different and special experience. Food was okay, but overall we had a wonderful and memorable stay.

We had the pleasure of staying at Kandima Maldives for one week as a family, and everything was simply beyond perfect. This place is truly close to what we imagine paradise looks like. The entire staff was incredibly caring and attentive throughout our stay. Everyone always made us feel welcome with genuine kindness and warmth. A very special thank you to Jonathan, who was always smiling and extremely generous with us during our whole vacation. We would also like to warmly thank Chef Iban, who took such great care of us, and Deepak for his absolutely exceptional cuisine. Thank you as well to Kira for her wonderful energy and amazing voice, and to the karaoke team, Anastasia and Song, for the great moments and fun atmosphere every evening. A special mention too for Naahy and Maanih, whose warm welcome and kindness made every day even more enjoyable. The food at the hotel is delicious, but the restaurants are truly outstanding and memorable. The excursions included by the hotel are also incredible and allow you to discover a stunning coral reef full of marine life. We were lucky enough to see turtles, sharks, and countless colorful fish — sometimes you only have to put your head underwater to see them swimming all around you. The underwater world there is absolutely breathtaking. We stayed with our children aged 11 and 14, and since coming back home, they only dream of one thing: going back to Kandima! Kandima remains a standout resort in the Maldives and offers strong value for money—particularly if you book during one of their frequent 55% off promotions. The island itself is beautifully maintained—lush, green, and immaculately manicured. The pools are absolutely spectacular, the cocktails and food are consistently superb, and the overall atmosphere strikes a great balance between luxury and fun. Zain was again a highlight of our trip and a key reason we chose to return—his effort and care didn’t go unnoticed. We were also grateful to receive an upgrade after encountering a few issues with our aqua villa, which showed a level of responsiveness from the team. That said, this visit didn’t quite match our previous 5-star experience, and we’d now rate it more in line with its current 4.7 overall review score. The main areas for improvement are fairly clear: • The mini bar could use a better variety of snacks. (mentioned previously) • Bikes should be included in the all-inclusive offering, especially for guests staying further out along the jetty.(mentioned previously) • The aqua villa jetty needs attention, as splinters make it uncomfortable to walk on barefoot. • The aqua villas themselves are starting to look a little tired and would benefit from some maintenance and TLC. • Some of the small extras we received on our last visit, like the Kandima sandals, were missing this time. Overall, Kandima still delivers a fantastic Maldives experience and is a resort we’ve enjoyed returning to. With some focus on maintenance and those finer details, it would easily be back to a full 5-star standard.

We have just returned from two weeks in a sunset beach room with a pool and we had a lovely stretch of beach. The room was great and outdoor bathroom was massive. Thankyou to Edam for looking after the room, he was excellent. We did all inclusive but we had to pay for the bar food in Breeze and the beach club which didn't make sense. Only tried the buffet in Zest twice and it was fabulous for lunch. We loved the Al a carte restaurants, sea dragon was our favourite but the lights could be dimmed. All the staff we met were absolutely lovely and so friendly but a massive thankyou to Jonathan the food and beverage manager. He literally changed our holiday and we felt so special every time we went to dinner. He went above and beyond for us and we really appreciated it. Also our top barman Shafi in the Breeze Bar, he had our drinks waiting every day and kept them coming with funny stories and was an absolute joy for the whole two weeks. This was my 9 th time to the Maldives and the only island where I didn't seen many if any fish snorkelling near our room so will try Hurawalhi next year hopefully. Thank you all for a fabulous holiday
