Reethi Faru Resort

We spent a week in a Deluxe Beach Villa in Reethi Faru Resort. This resort is eco-conscious with very comfortable rooms. The semi-outdoor bathrooms are an absolute treat. The resort is not too big, but big enough to let you think you're alone on this island. The Restaurants and bars serve good quality food and drinks. The staff is very friendly and helpful. In the centre of the islands the plants are left to the original state and lets you think you're in the jungle. But the best thing in this resort is the house reef just out there and around the ilsland. If your staying in Beach Villa you can actually go directly from bed to the reef and do some snorkelling. This resort can only be recommended!

A great resort. It was good to see the reef recovering and some lovely corals between the jetty by the main restaurant and the over water restaurant. Spotted many of the artificial reefs which have been planted. After 3 previous trips to the Maldives and not seeing an Eagle Ray I was so happy to see them on 3 occasions. We went on the Manta trip and was really impressed with the organisiation and team. The trip was limited to 30 guests and when another boat arrived we moved so we didn’t crowd the Manta. The overwater villa was lovely and a beautiful sunset view. The highlight was the food. The main restaurants had a good selection each day. The fresh grilled fish was delicious. We ate at 2 other restaurants during our stay. The Reethi grill was amazing and the fish at the over water restaurant was some of the best I have ever had. All of the staff were polite and helpful and we had a wonderful stay.

An amazing holiday, a beautiful island. We were able to walk around the island in approximately 40 mins. We stayed in a beach villa and then a water villa. We are pleased to have experienced both. The food in all of the restaurants was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Cheap resort that wants to make extra money at the expense of the guests. The resort is on island time (one hour ahead of Male), which is convenient for the staff but not for the guests. Meals at the main restaurant are rushed and most waiters are grumpy and not service oriented. I don't need the waiter telling me I came too late for breakfast (30 mins before they close) and rush me to eat. Most days he was complaining about something. The premium all inclusive package is strange - fresh juices are NOT included, you have to sign bills at every bar/restaurants and the bill is with prices - apparently for some internal purpose but definitely not guest oriented. You also have to make reservations for dinner a day ahead and will not be seated without a reservation even though the restaurant is empty. The doctor is PAID and good luck if you have a problem- this is a complete joke! Why should I pay extra to see the resort doctor???? What does the resort pay??? The European staff was drinking and drinking too much at the bar every evening . The staff have their facilities and should not take space in the guest bars. They were not even socializing with the guest but rather having a loud staff party - not acceptable. The life vests are also paid, the vest in the room are for emergencies only and you can be fined. The spa is average- the most annoying is that immediately after you are done with the massage you have to leave the room. Most treatments are 50 mins with no option to extend. The best thing is the restaurant over the water- the food and the service was great!
