ROBINSON MALDIVES

We had returned to the Maldives for our 10 year wedding anniversary having spent our honeymoon on a different atoll and from the moment we set foot on this island we were made to feel special by the team. We were greeted with a bottle of Lion beer and a personal welcome from the general manager Andreas who switched from German to English fluidly and gave a speech in each language with equally as much passion and enthusiasm. We later discovered the island bars didn’t stock Lion beer as standard (it was Carlsberg Export) which we were a little sad about it, however my husband put in a request to get some for our anniversary and we were greeted with a surprise bucket of them in our room complete with homemade chocolates and a card! The island team were a real family, each person crossing departments to muck in (Andreas and some of the diving team serving eggs Benedict at breakfast, different waiters, office staff and gym instructors taking part in the evening entertainment shows etc) and the staff seemed genuinely happy in every role. In particular Hussain from the office team, he gave his all to every role he was placed in and was a real pleasure to talk to. My husband played Padel for the first time there and under Stefan’s guidance has developed a passion for it which he is planning to continue at home. The chefs were incredible. Each buffet station was made to order on the spot and I have never tasted such exquisite food. Harry the patisserie chef was so enthusiastic and friendly (at one point writing our names in caramel on a plate to encourage us to eat more desserts!) and Beno was superb on the breakfast egg station. They were all so friendly, especially the Sri Lankan chefs Gune and Sidath. We loved hearing about their homeland and their lives. When Gune learned I was pescatarian he wanted to make something special for me but there was really no need, there were so many delicious and healthy choices already. We also well looked after by the waiting team, in particular Samim and Main Uddin. They were a real treat to have a chat and a giggle with. We were due to leave by boat at 5am to return home only to discover our flight had been delayed by 12 hours. Nothing phased the office staff; they told us to go back to bed and they would make alternative arrangements for us. We were able to stay in our water bungalow, have breakfast and lunch before making the later transfer to the airport. The care didn’t stop there; once at Male airport we were given access to the lounge for free food and drink until we need to go though security, and we were personally escorted by a member of the Robinson team every step of the way. We didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to Andreas (he was due to wave us off at dawn) so he very kindly sent us a goodbye video wishing us all the best. Truly a remarkable team which made our holiday even more magical.

The experience of this vacation is very good. The reception is very attentive, the environment is great, and the whole person is very relaxed. Every waiter is very good. There are many programs every day. The food is also great, and the living is very comfortable.

​I was made to feel welcome from the moment I arrived. I stayed in a beachfront villa, and it was truly stunning. Waking up each morning, stepping straight out onto the sand, and taking in that incredible view was absolutely out of this world. One of my favorite things about the island was the casual, relaxed atmosphere, loved the fact that you don't even need to wear footwear anywhere! ​The resort facilities were top-notch across the board. The gym was fantastic for keeping active, and all the surrounding bars had such a great vibe. I especially enjoyed the Sundowner Bar, with Mahesh mixing up incredible cocktails and DJ Oz on the decks. Just fantastic! ​The food was excellent with plenty of choice, the snorkeling was incredible, and the entire island was beyond stunning, so beautifully maintained and absolutely immaculate in every way. Above all, the staff truly made my stay and treated me like royalty. Every member of the team was warm, friendly, and genuinely cared that I had the best possible experience. Nothing was ever too much trouble, they went above and beyond with a smile, and that level of hospitality made the whole trip so special. ​A special thank you to the General Manager, Andreas, his infectious enthusiasm rubs off on the entire resort and truly makes the place what it is! It was the ultimate spot to relax, recharge, and enjoy paradise. I left with memories and friends I'll never forget, and I wouldn't hesitate to return. ​Highly recommended!

We had an amazing stay at Robinson Maldives! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The resort itself is beautiful, with a calm and peaceful atmosphere that made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Thank you to the entire team for the wonderful hospitality.
