TUI BLUE Olhuveli Romance

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel in the Maldives, and everything exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, every detail was perfect. This trip was especially meaningful for us because we had our wedding ceremony at the hotel, and it made our stay truly unforgettable. Everything was organized beautifully, with so much care and attention, and it became a memory we will cherish forever. We would especially like to thank our butler, Caffrey, for his incredible professionalism. He was attentive, caring, efficient, and always made sure everything was perfect for us. His level of service was truly outstanding. A very special thank you also goes to Leevan and Munko, who provided exceptional service throughout our stay. They were so friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and they made every meal even more enjoyable. We were also very impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms - everything was always spotless and beautifully maintained. The pool service was excellent as well: very attentive, professional, and always delivered with a smile. And of course, the food was absolutely amazing. Everything we tried was delicious, beautifully presented, and of the highest quality. Thank you to the entire hotel team for making our stay so special and memorable. We truly loved every moment and would be very happy to return again.

My partner and myself went on a once in a lifetime holiday to the Maldives. The resort we stayed in was fantastic all around. Beautifully located with three islands surrounding a gorgeous crystal blue lagoon. Plenty of excursions and things to do, from sunset cruises, feeding the sting rays, scuba diving, kayaking, lots of quiet sun bathing areas, to live singers, fire shows, treasure hunts, spas, even table tennis, pool, badminton and plenty more. There is also plenty for kids to do, with the resorts own kids play centre. Food was excellent in all the many restaurants and the buffet was top notch too. Drinks were fantastic (especially the cocktails), so much variety and daily specials, all freshly prepared. For us the all inclusive package was worth every penny, though that would depend on if you like drinking and are partial to a cocktail (or two). The all inclusive package also contains £50 off per person at the spa and 50% off in certain restaurant specials I.e. beach bbq that is held every week. The villas are stunning too, very spacious, quiet, amazing views and immaculately kept by cleaning staff. The staff service was second to none, all staff were so nice, welcoming, helpful, kind and ensured we were catered to at every whim, impeccably professional, great at remembering names, always served with a smile on their faces and always said hello with a smile even when off duty. Those little things add to making the atmosphere feel more personal and welcoming. Although all the staff were incredible, I would like to give a special shout out to Suzan Fernandes who worked in the lagoon bar, she was delightful, worked hard, always there to cater to us perfectly, giving advice and always found time to have a friendly chat when she had a second to spare. The resorts app was handy too. You can make bookings for everything on there. The only issues I can think of is that it is best to book sittings in restaurants days in advance, as they book up very quickly. Also the all inclusive package doesn't include everything I.e. the à la carte menus, specials and certain snacks like branded ice-cream. All in all one of the best holidays we've ever had. 5 stars all around.

For our 15th visit to the Maldives, we once again chose Olhuveli for the 8th consecutive time. The resort always had fantastic beaches and a great house reef but has undergone a major transformation in the last few years and now has a superb variety of venues and pools to enjoy on your holiday. Our holiday always starts as soon as we land on Olhuveli with lunch in the Sunset Restaurant. This has always been a special place for us as we have Abdullah, Mohammed and Babbel to look after our every need , Emran to supply the best fruit and Prodip to cook glorious breakfast. We were also able to eat out at a variety of dine around restaurants, the highlight being Siam Orchid where Karina always makes it a special visit. But the real highlight of our visit this year was the fact that Olhuveli now has probably the best live covers band you will ever hear anywhere in the world. We’re both huge fans of live music and between us we’ve seen live, virtually every great act in modern times. High Tides are now an 8 piece and incredibly accomplished musicians. You can almost guarantee that if you ask them to play a song by your favourite band, not only will they play a song, but it will be a superb performance. They always go down a storm on the more intimate setting on Romance, but they will give you a Rock or Pop experience to remember on the Laguna stage. Quality evening entertainment in the Maldives has often been a little lacklustre at many resorts, but on Olhuveli you can guarantee the best live music most nights.

Our stay at Sun Siyam Olhuveli was honestly one of the best vacation experiences we’ve ever had. The resort itself is absolutely stunning — crystal clear water, beautiful beaches, and amazing villas that make you feel like you’re in a dream. Everything was so well maintained and the atmosphere was peaceful and luxurious. What truly made our stay special was the incredible staff. Everyone was so warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. A special thank you to Suzan from the Lagoon Bar — she was exceptionally kind, attentive, and made us feel so comfortable every time we visited. Her friendly personality and great service really stood out and made our experience even more memorable. The food, activities, and overall hospitality were fantastic. From relaxing by the water to enjoying the restaurants and water activities, everything was perfectly organized and enjoyable.

We arrived on the 28 February for 10 days and were based on the main island Olhuveli Island. There are two other islands which you can walk to and use as well which are Dream Island and TUI Blue adults only. Had a great flight direct there with Virgin airlines. Once we arrived at the airport it was easy to get to the speedboat transfer. The boat was waiting for us so we were on our way very quickly. It takes about 45 minutes by speedboat beautiful calm conditions and we’re very lucky to have see dolphins in the water. Once we reached our destination we were greeted by the welcoming party whose first words to us were welcome home. Check in was quick and efficient and Mayumi was our point of contact for anything we required. Mayumi had already gone on and booked us into several of the restaurants for lunch and dinner and this was all carried out on the hotel app. Our room was in a great position close to the main restaurant reception area and main bar. You walked out the back of your room with a beautiful view of the beach and water and sun beds both on the walkway or beach were readily available and we had no problems getting sun beds all holiday. On the main island you had a buffet restaurant called sunrise which was used for breakfast lunch or dinner. We used it for breakfast most days but only used it for lunch once and dinner twice during our stay. The was a large selection of food from around the world but it was a bit disjointed. On the other two islands the buffet restaurants were Malaafaiy and The Resturant which you could use at any time as well. We only used Malaafaiy for breakfast and I would say a bit better than Sunrise. For lunch we used Island Pizza and Siyam Orchard (Thai). Both these restaurants offer a three course meal which was freshly cooked for you. I fell in love with Thai food and we visited Siyam Orchard both lunchtime and dinner time and the food was outstanding the view was fantastic over looking the sea which comes to life at night. The waitress was from Bali I think her name was Sanita who was able to explain what each of the meals contained and also made suggestions for us on what to try. The other restaurant was Namaste Asian themed and this is the one that was booked for my birthday celebration. The table was on the beach overlooking the water and was decorated for my special occasion. They also gave me a birthday cake at the table which they brought out to me by all the staff and they sang happy birthday to me which was a lovely touch unexpected but wonderful. By our room and part of the beach there was an outdoor bar which is where we got to know Vinany who always had our drinks waiting for us as soon as he could see us walking towards him. On Dream island is where you will find Milano and crust and flame both Italian themed and both overlooking the lagoon. Again we ate there for both lunchtime and dinner during our stay food again of very high standard and cooked to order. There is another restaurant on this island Maghrib Grill but you needed to pay a supplement which was quiets expensive. On TUI Blue you could use The Bite restaurant for lunch again all freshly made to order Italian themed. The other restaurant was Culinarium which is where we had our last meal of the holiday. This restaurant is over the water and we were lucky enough to see a Manta along with several small sharks. The other restaurants you again had to pay a supplement for but again expensive. To get to these other islands you either get one of the free shuttle busses which run about every 10 minutes or by foot it takes about 20 minutes. When you go from Olhuveli to Dream Island you go across a bridge and if you are lucky enough on an evening you may see the turtles and stingrays as well as lots of black tip sharks. This is our second time to The Maldives different islands each time and it won’t be our last it’s so peaceful and staff that can’t do enough for you
