Upon arriving to Varu they said that only 1 of the 2 suites that we booked were actually booked (when we had receipts and travel agent correspondence confirming 2 fully paid suites). They forced me to purchase another suite for $8017 (even though I already prepaid). They promised to reimburse the $8017 and sort out the prebooking mixup and they never did. Varu is a scammy place that will force you to overpay to have a place to stay because they know that travelers from the other side of the world that have flown and taken a boat to this remote place have no other lodging options. They have failed to refund me after several attempts. Even though the island is beautiful, it is not worth getting scammed over.

Spacious, comfortable room. Perfect location for our honeymoon. Walking around the island was easy, restaurants were very close to our water villa. Level of cleanliness was high, and the service was amazing.
