From Our Worst Vacation… to One of Our Best After two extremely disappointing experiences Maritim Crystals Beach Hotel and another resort in Mauritius, my family arrived at C Mauritius at 3:00 a.m. exhausted, discouraged, and seriously considering ending our vacation early and flying home. Everything changed the moment we walked through the doors. Tarun welcomed us with incredible kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Even in the middle of the night, he took the time to listen to our concerns and made us feel genuinely cared for. His warmth and empathy convinced us to stay and give Mauritius one more chance. Looking back, that single act of kindness completely changed our vacation. Before we even explored the resort, we were struck by how beautifully maintained it was. The property is elegant, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed, with lush tropical gardens, stunning ocean views, and a relaxed atmosphere that made us feel at peace from the moment we arrived. Throughout our stay, the exceptional service never stopped. Deepak made us feel like family. He always remembered where we were from, checked in on our experiences, and was especially wonderful with our children, making them feel welcome and valued. Anastasia greeted us every morning with the biggest smile and knew us by name. Her joyful personality brightened each day, and her positive energy was contagious. A special thank you to Somalia Vella, who gave us a fascinating tour of the hotel’s beautiful wine cellar. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion for the resort made it one of the highlights of our stay, and we looked forward to his wine recommendations every evening. We also want to recognize Julien, Damien, Abilesh, and Atish. Every encounter was filled with laughter, genuine warmth, and outstanding hospitality. They remembered our names, treated us like friends, and consistently made us feel special. As someone with nearly three decades in the hospitality industry, I understand how difficult it is to consistently deliver exceptional customer service. The team at C Mauritius exceeded every expectation. They didn’t simply provide excellent service, they restored our faith in hospitality and reminded us how powerful genuine kindness can be. What began as one of the most disappointing vacations we’ve ever experienced became one of our most memorable because of the incredible people at C Mauritius.
