LUX* Le Morne

Lux Le Morne is pure perfection, it really is! The attention to every little detail is outstanding, from gifts you receive on arrival and on leaving, to the incredible service and attention from all the staff , to the most exquisite furnishings in the rooms and of course the amazing food too! ( the Thai being our personal favourite) The sunbeds have thick cushions and call bells for drinks, the beach and surrounding mountains are breathtaking, we felt it was the best area in the island. I loved long walks along the never ending beach and also enjoyed yoga and the pools were simply fabulous . We have stayed in some lovely Hotels but this has to be our personal favourite for its sheer luxurious feel and attention to detail. We highly recommend it for a completely relaxing stay.

Beach, restaurants and bars are 5 stars; rooms, room service and reception are 3 stars. Half of the rooms had road noise, and mattresses were not comfortable. Thanks to Anikek from the bar, Megane from the beach service and Jason from guest relations for their excellent service

For us as - this was a fantastic 5 star resort that we could not fault. The beachside location was stunningly beautiful - a real tropical location - great sun-loungers positioned between the palm trees (well maintained), great sea swimming, fresh water pools, plenty eating options, gym and leisure facilities- the accommodation was immaculately clean and the staff exceptional .. Chris team lead (thank you for the map and your great welcome) , Chloe and Cindy in “The Kitchen”, Andrew, Annuno, Ashvina, in “The Beach” and Pavish on the beach …. you gave us 5 star treatment along with many other staff members who we met along the way. We particularly enjoyed the “East” restaurant (Thai) the food was particularly outstanding but we enjoyed all the other locations too - the quality of service that all staff delivered was outstanding - something rarely practiced but a delight to experience these days …. ground maintenance and room cleaning staff worked tirelessly and did a fantastic job keeping the whole facility really well presented. There are plenty of activities available on site .. snorkelling yoga kayaks paddle boards trips out and about - we chose to hire a car as we enjoy hiking and exploring - there are plenty of options for walking in the local area (suitable for trail shoes or sturdy trainers). Many routes are not very well signposted so it’s worth doing your own homework and having clear directions available eg All Trails App, other walking route guides or detailed map beforehand. We were there In May - the days were a comfortable temperature .. not too hot (25- 28) .. often with varying degrees of broken cloud cover and occasional rain showers.

Location was the most beautiful place with an amazing backdrop of Le Morne mountain, white sand beach, crystal clear water. Close enough to other areas and not crazy far from cities like Port Louis to make a whole day trip out of it. Rooms were very clean and well maintained. Constant care and service around the clock to keep towels clean, bed in pristine condition. Lovely people that help out and help with any requests. Value would match the type of service, amenities, food and people you get to meet here. Would highly recommend and I would go again. Noise level is perfectly fine to me I am not bothered by noise, however this place is very peaceful and large space between the sunbeds creates a private bubble of your own. I would like to dedicate this review as well to a few people that have helped me out with my proposal and loads of requests, they were amazingly friendly and helpful throughout, I made friends there. To Manie, Bianca, and Hemant these three accomodated every request and made it as perfect as it was. If you ever need to plan or just have a friendly chat these 3 are always at hand to provide the best service I have had.
