LUX* Le Morne

We had the pleasure of enjoying a complimentary cocktail-making experience at LUX* Le Morne as part of our honeymoon, and it was one of the sweetest little highlights of our stay. A very special thank you to Harvind, our bartender, who made the experience absolutely wonderful. He explained everything so clearly and with such great energy and enthusiasm. We had so much fun creating our very own cocktail together – a rum-based creation that we proudly named “Lux le Gloria.” 🍹 The cocktail was absolutely delicious, and the whole experience was relaxed, personal, and incredibly enjoyable. Harvind’s warm and friendly service made it even more special. Thank you, Harvind, for such a fun and memorable experience! We will definitely remember the Lux le Gloria and the wonderful time we had at the bar. Highly recommended – especially if you get the chance to have a cocktail session with Harvind! 🌴🍹

A beautiful place, for both a holiday and a honeymoon. The hospitality is top-notch; they know your name and ask how you are doing every day. The bartender, Aniket, makes the most fantastic cocktails; just let him do his thing and you will be served something amazing. Helpful Alexander is happy to assist you and knows which drinks on the menu are highly recommended. We are going to miss this place enormously, but we will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at LUX* Le Morne and there were so many aspects of the resort that made our holiday memorable. The beach is absolutely beautiful, with the incredible backdrop of Le Morne mountain making the setting even more special. The views are stunning, particularly around sunset, and the resort is a lovely place to simply relax and enjoy Mauritius. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very nice, and the resort grounds and facilities were beautiful. We especially enjoyed the swimming pool on the right-hand side of the resort, which was lovely and warm. Our daughter absolutely loved spending time there, as well as visiting ICI for ice cream every day and tasting the different flavours. The bar service was excellent, and one of our daily highlights was visiting Maison LUX*. A special mention must go to Abi, the barista, who made the best cappuccinos!The breakfast buffet was also very good, with a great selection each morning. The Kids Club was another highlight of our stay. Jenny and Sabrina were incredibly friendly and welcoming towards our daughter and helped make her holiday very special. She had a fantastic time taking part in activities including the crab hunt, henna tattooing, Napolitaine making, nature walk and limbo dance party. It was wonderful having such a good variety of activities for children. There are also plenty of experiences available through the resort. Our deep-sea fishing trip with skipper Dan was fantastic, and catching a GT fish made the experience even more memorable. The day trip to Île aux Cocos was one of our favourite excursions. The drinks and buffet were excellent – probably some of the best we had during the holiday – and the live entertainment created a great atmosphere. We also really enjoyed the snorkelling from the glass-bottom boat. For something more relaxing, the sunset yoga was incredibly peaceful, especially with the beautiful surroundings of Le Morne. The spa massage was very thorough and relaxing and was another experience we would recommend. We also booked the photoshoot package, which was well worth doing. The photographer was excellent and we were extremely happy with the photographs – a wonderful way to take home some special memories from Mauritius. The Sega Dance Show with the dancers and cocktails was another enjoyable evening. The entertainment was great and the cocktails made it a fun experience. The main area where we felt the resort could improve was the consistency of its restaurant service. **The Kitchen restaurant was very hit or miss** – on some nights the service was good, while on others it was noticeably poorer. Unfortunately, the service at the beach restaurant was very poor during our experience. The food there was okay, but not particularly memorable and not quite at the standard we expected from a resort of this level. Overall, however, LUX* Le Morne is a beautiful resort in an exceptional location. The stunning beach, Le Morne mountain views, great activities, warm swimming pool, Kids Club, excursions and special experiences made it a memorable family holiday. There are definitely areas where the restaurant service and food could be improved, but there was still a great deal that we loved about our stay. A special thank you again to Abi, Jenny and Sabrina, who helped make our holiday that little bit more memorable. We stayed for 7 nights at the Junior Prestige Suite.
