Sunrise Attitude

Its was a great pleasure again to have choose the time the group of altitude for our holiday. We have fully enjoy and also very happy our moment in the hotel. The artisan was very friendly and always helpful on any information you required. The food was very amazing. . I would likes to thank the management and all artisan for their hard work.

We stayed at Sunrise for seven days in March, and the hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful—both very stylish and well maintained. There are two swimming pools, and sunbeds were always readily available. There is a great choice of places to eat for both lunch and dinner. On one evening, however, we weren’t very happy with our meal. The following morning, management asked whether we had enjoyed dinner, and we were honest about our disappointment. We certainly didn’t expect what happened next. Treated like royalty a From that point on, we were treated like royalty. At lunchtime, a bottle of chilled bubbles would appear at our table, complete with an ice bucket. The chef regularly came over to ask if we wanted anything cooked especially for us. My other half loves curry, and after requesting one, he was served the most delicious meal—not just once, but several times. One evening, we were even treated to a private, candle‑lit dinner in the beautiful gardens. The staff truly could not do enough for us; every single one of them was amazing. The only small downside for us was the beach service, which was a bit hit and miss. There is no bar on the beach, so drinks are sometimes brought over from the hotel in a cool box. While it’s not a long walk back to the bar, this service could be improved. More regular visits, a wider selection, or even a pop‑up bar—perhaps with something fun like a rum tasting—would really enhance the experience. That said, the beach itself is stunning, with clear blue water and lovely white sand and coral. Our room was spacious, very clean, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. All in all, we had a fantastic holiday. We met some lovely people, made great friends, and really enjoyed the entertainment, which was low‑key but exactly to our taste. The true standout of this hotel is without question the staff. They are a fantastic team and are the reason this is a place we would happily return to.

We recently stayed at Sunrise for the third time (28 April – 1 May 2026) to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary — and once again, the experience exceeded all expectations. From arrival to departure, everything was simply outstanding. Highlights of our stay: Warm and professional welcome from the team — special thanks to Vinesh for setting the tone perfectly Beautiful swim-up room upgrade (#2009) with thoughtful in-room touches Excellent food quality across all outlets, with attentive and genuine service Great atmosphere at the Social House (loved the poker night, billiards & games!) Authentic local experience at Taba-J — a must-do Spa experience was absolutely perfect — pure relaxation A special dinner arranged on 29 April that made our celebration even more memorable Standout team members: A heartfelt thank you to Sunny, who truly embodies Mauritian hospitality — making us feel at home throughout our stay. Emmanuel for his consistent warmth and professionalism. Kavy (The Market) for going above and beyond. Rubesh for the great conversations and positive energy. Also, big appreciation to the housekeeping team, Front Office, and management for maintaining such high standards. As mentioned above, this was not our first visit (we came twice in 2025), and what truly stands out is the continuous improvement - each stay feels even better than the last. As the saying goes: “It’s not your aptitude, but your attitude that determines your altitude.” This perfectly reflects the spirit of the team. Honestly, although Sunrise is officially a 4-star hotel, the experience feels like a 7-star one. We were already planning our next visit on the way home — which says it all. A very tropical characteristic hotel, with beautiful gardens. Rooms excellent and clean with good facilities. All staff friendly and accomodating.
