Sandos Caracol Nature Resort & Water Park

Everything you could possibly want in a holiday the staff are lovely and friendly. The rooms we stayed in was absolutely spotless . All the wildlife was amazing to see especially the monkeys coming to see you on your balcony . One word of advice would be keep your room door shut and locked because they can open the doors . Plenty of variety of foods with some really nice restaurants and plenty of drinks to choose from . Great entertainment especially the Michael Jackson tribute . I’d recommend you paint yourself in sunscreen because it’s far hotter than you think and I ended up with blistered skin from not using it on our first day . I would definitely 100% recommend this resort and I would definitely love to come back as there was lots we still didn’t get to see as the resort is really big

We stayed here for two weeks in an adults only penthouse and it was an amazing stay. The room was great, spacious with strong AC (very important), our room was well looked after and kept very clean, we loved the towel art. The best part though was the daily visit on the balcony from the monkeys! So cute. The resort is huge but very beautiful, so much to see from the wildlife to the ruins to the beach. Not once did we get bored. One of the perks of select club was the two club houses which always had free flowing champagne on ice at all hours. The spa was nice and fairly peaceful, but we did get some massages on the beach too at a fraction of the cost. The on site dive centre scuba libre, were just great. They took me off site for my first ever experience of cenote diving and what an experience. The food on site was ok, nothing stood out. Breakfast at the buffet was chaotic, they always ran out of bacon so we ended up sticking to the adults only restaurant which was great every time. Lunch times were pretty miss too, the best food was the poolside menu at the adults pool, by far the best burger on site or at the beach club, they did great tenders and banana splits 🤣🤣. The thing meals were ok.... The buffet and Mexican were ok. The taco place was not very flavorful. The royal elite restaurant was good when you got the right cut of steak. The new York strip was awful but the baseball steak was incredible. The Italian was good, we love the chicken parmesan.. The rodizio was good but was spoilt a bit by very drunk people causing a scene, but the food, especially the turkey was tasty, the experience just felt a little rushed. The best food though was the teppanyaki restaurant. It never failed. Entertainment wise there was so much going on.. The night markets were good fun but the salesmen were a little pushy which put us off massively. The best thing we did was the sensory path, I think a few of the group had a few tears. It was a real shame the cenotes were closed but it's important to try and protect nature. All the staff we meet were really nice and we cannot wait to come back to this place. The main downside were people feeding the animals when it clearly said t not to, we saw numerous people getting bitten and scratched.

I had the greatest experience at this resort. The food, surroundings and the staff were amazing. The only two things I would suggest is to repair the cleaning jets at the adult pool and have security and transportation at the beach when you have an event there. We had a person that hurt her ankle and was unable to walk. We could not find the proper help. One last suggestion. Please have more staff and signs available when the monkeys arrive at the adult pool. We love the animals and want to see them thrive in their habitat (not ours). Would i return? ABSOLUTELY...THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT SERVIVE!
