We went to Sandos Caracol last year during March break. During our stay we became members. We went to another Sandos this year as members for the first time. Great experiences with the family and great resorts. Special thanks to Merly Prado. Great person working for sandos. During our stay this year she was an asset to understanding everything Sandos has to offer. The eco resort os nice, the pools are great, and the food is incredible.

Sandos Caracol Eco Resort – A Jungle Paradise! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (but feels way above 4★) Wildlife & Surroundings: • Animals everywhere—monkeys, coatis, raccoons, and iguanas roam freely, giving the feeling you’re living in their jungle habitat. • So many hidden gems to explore; the resort truly feels like an adventure. • Free bikes and Segways (available to hire) make exploring fun and easy. Entertainment & Activities: • Professional, polished entertainment team. Theatre productions and live shows were outstanding. • Fire show near the Mayan ruins was spectacular—an absolute must-see. • Pools perfect; waterpark open daily except Tuesdays. Occasional leaves in pools are natural from the jungle, not cleanliness issues. Restaurants & Dining: • Teppanyaki: delicious food, chefs are top-notch; a bit dark, hot, and crowded inside. • Brazilian restaurant: excellent, and Adult Breakfast in the daytime was one of the best open-air dining we’ve had. • Buffet: high quality with huge variety. • Drinks everywhere, huge spring water dispenser in rooms, well-stocked fridge. Snacks and self-serve soft-serve ice cream in the Mexican open-air bar a fun touch. Staff & Service: • Yensi (Hotel Management): caring, understanding, and ensured our stay was perfect.l - THANK YOU 🙏🏼😘 • Rosa (Main Reception Bar), Bane & Maricela (Adult Pool Bar), Gerano (Brazilian Restaurant): exceptional service👌🏻, always cheerful and attentive. Anybody from hotel management reading this, please pass on our thanks and gratitude. They truly made us feel special. • Waitstaff: always available, friendly, and tips appreciated but never pushy. Beach & Excursions: • Beach beautiful, sargassum cleared daily, water perfect for swimming. • Ricardo (Seek&Go, in-house tour agent) incredibly helpful—offered excursions to every destination in the Yucatán. Rooms & Facilities: • Our room a bit dated, however our friends’ family room was modern and beautiful. • Some areas could do with refurbishment, but options, facilities, service, and food quality far exceed the 4★ rating. Overall: • Best overall hotel we’ve stayed at in Riviera Maya, even compared with the much higher-rated resorts we’ve stayed in previously. • Incredible variety, outstanding staff, amazing wildlife, and top-quality dining. • Perfect jungle paradise—we will absolutely return.
