Get ready, because this is going to be a long review. We arrived here on August 6th. This is our third time staying here. We previously came in 2013 and 2014, and we decided to return because we really enjoyed the resort back then and wanted to relive that holiday again. BIG MISTAKE. Things have changed — and unfortunately, they have changed for the worse. I’ll start with the fact that our toilet had not been cleaned. It had the “disinfected” paper placed over it, but inside there was nothing but dirt. And today, August 11th, the situation is still exactly the same. We could have overlooked this inconvenience, considering that there are only two young women cleaning three floors of the villa every day. They are clearly understaffed, and those girls simply cannot keep up with so many rooms every single day. The real problems started on August 7th. In the morning, we went to have breakfast and then spent some time by the pool until lunchtime. We put the DND (Do Not Disturb) sign on the door because there was absolutely no reason for anyone to enter our room — we had only been there for one day. The DND sign was completely ignored. When we returned to our room, we immediately realized that someone had been inside. The lamp was turned on, and a light bulb that had not been working before had been replaced. The real problem came when we noticed that our cigarettes — 5 packs in total — had disappeared from the room. We went to reception to report what had happened. Someone from security also came and told us that they would check the cameras and that we should come back in a few hours. A few hours later, the deputy manager at reception told us that they had not been able to identify anything suspicious and that we had probably lost the cigarettes ourselves. 🤡 I asked why someone had entered our room to replace a light bulb when we had never requested it. The answer? “Are you sure someone entered your room? Do you have any proof?” From that moment on, our entire holiday turned into a detective adventure. The replaced light bulbs were found in the garbage bin at our villa. We took photos and brought them directly to reception on August 8th to show them the evidence. Suddenly, the story changed. We were told that they had spoken to the electrician, who had apparently been working there for 30 years, and that he was not a smoker and had not taken anything from our room. Wait… wasn’t the argument that nobody had entered our room in the first place? The next thing we were told was to go to the police. The “go to the police” strategy is quite convenient: if you send the guests to the police, you no longer have to lift a finger and can leave the police to deal with something that happened right under your own nose. We refused, of course, and told them to do their job and find out why someone had entered our room despite the DND sign, who had informed the electrician that the light bulb was not working, and how it was decided that someone should enter the room while we were away. Once again, we were given the runaround and told to come back at midnight. And no, this is not about five packs of cigarettes. It is about someone going through your personal belongings in a hotel room — a place where you are supposed to feel safe. The adventure continued at midnight, when we were absolutely stunned to find out that there are no security cameras on the villa floors, only on the ground floor. So what kind of security does this hotel actually provide? ZERO. When they realized that we were not going to drop the issue and that we wanted our cigarettes back — cigarettes that are not even available for purchase in this country — we were told to come back the following morning and speak with the reception manager. The next day, August 9th, we met the manager, who showed absolutely no management skills whatsoever. That was when we realized that there had apparently been no communication at management level at all. The manager told us that they could not check the cameras and that we had to go to the police. According to him, security could not review the footage without a police complaint. Luckily, the person we had spoken to the night before was also at reception. We confronted them face-to-face, and the deputy manager once again confirmed that they had checked the cameras, had found nothing, and that everyone was denying having stolen anything from our room. Even worse, when I told the manager that I was afraid I would come back again that evening and receive exactly the same answer, and that the most important question — why someone entered our room in the first place — still had not been answered, he became defensive and started gaslighting us like a teenager. “You want nobody to enter your room anymore? Is that what you’re saying? You don’t want me to take any further action regarding the problem?” At that point, after seeing an attitude completely unworthy of a manager when dealing with a serious issue happening within the resort, I decided to return at 11 PM, as requested, to finally get the answers we were entitled to. In the meantime, we went to speak with the housekeeping staff. We had a rather serious conversation because we wanted to reach their manager. We eventually spoke with their manager, and she actually tried to solve the problem. I told her that the only thing I cared about was finding my cigarettes back in the room when I returned from the beach. She took a photo of the cigarette pack and said she would speak to the relevant people. She also said she would look into whether they could somehow be purchased locally. Three hours later — surprise! — 4 out of the 5 packs of cigarettes suddenly appeared back in our room. A huge thank you to the people who actually got involved and tried to solve a problem that was not caused by us. That evening, we went back to reception once again, mainly to confirm our theory that nobody had actually communicated properly about our problem. The same manager gave us the same story: they could not find out anything, they had spoken to everyone, and the reason someone entered our room despite the DND sign was simply because “that’s what was considered necessary.” At that point, I started laughing at the situation and told him that the problem had been solved because we had spoken directly with the housekeeping staff and their manager. His reaction was exactly what we expected: “It’s a little suspicious that you found the cigarettes afterwards.” No. We did not hide our own cigarettes. No. We did not come here to create a scene instead of enjoying our holiday. And no. There is absolutely nothing suspicious about the fact that someone finally did their job and solved the situation. Some people prefer to solve problems, while others prefer to get offended when you point out that they are not doing their job. Even though the food here is tasty, this experience has left us with a bitter taste that will never be erased by a few “sorry” comments. After this experience, all 20 of us have become paranoid. We started placing our belongings on the tables and bedside tables in very specific ways, just so we can tell if someone has touched or moved anything while we are away. Conclusion Even though the resort has a beautiful Mediterranean atmosphere, the food is good, and the pool is still our favorite part of the property, the rooms and the staff are the biggest disadvantages here. Our belongings simply do not feel safe being left in the room. At this point, we would rather carry all our valuables with us everywhere than leave them behind — even inside the safe. We came back after more than a decade because we wanted to relive a wonderful holiday we had here in the past. Instead, we got an experience we can’t wait to forget.

⚠️ WARNING: THEFT, INCOMPETENCE & AN ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A RESORT Mould on the walls. Dirt in the bathroom. No soap. Housekeeping was practically nonexistent. But somehow, the disgusting room wasn’t even the worst part. On August 7, 5 packs of VEO cigarettes disappeared from our friends room. From August 7 to 9, my friend and I were sent back and forth across the resort asking for answers, only to hear: “We don’t know anything. Go to the police.” We were told cameras would be checked. We spoke to security. We came back later. Nobody had checked anything. And then came the most ridiculous part: THERE ARE NO CAMERAS IN THE CORRIDORS OF THE VILLAS. A resort where guests are expected to leave their belongings in their rooms, with no basic surveillance in the villa corridors. Should we start a fundraiser to buy you some cameras? And before anyone says “it was only cigarettes”: IT WAS NEVER ABOUT THE CIGARETTES. It was about a personal belonging disappearing from a room where we were supposed to feel safe, and the completely embarrassing way the situation was handled. The most ironic part? One housekeeping manager accomplished more in a few hours than your entire management team did in two days. She investigated, took photos, asked questions and actually tried to solve the problem. She did her job. Management, meanwhile, seemed more interested in being offended than actually managing anything. And the DND sign? We had DO NOT DISTURB on our door. Housekeeping entered anyway, and we were told it was her “duty” to enter. THEN WHAT THE HELL IS THE DND SIGN FOR? DECORATION? Guest reports a problem → reception knows nothing → security sends you back → nobody checks anything → “go to the police.” Brilliant system. And when an employee does more in a few hours than management does in two days, management gets offended. That is not management. That is ego. And finally, your employees’ working conditions are another serious issue. I met a girl at the bar who told me she had worked three weeks straight without a day off. I asked how much she was paid. Her answer? “I don’t know.” Her eyes were literally closing while she was pouring beer. We were also told things raising serious concerns about employees allegedly working without proper legal employment arrangements. If true, this deserves the attention of the relevant authorities. As for housekeeping, two extremely young girls, around 17-18, were apparently responsible for three entire floors of a villa by themselves. Then you wonder why there are dirty floors, dirty walls, poorly made beds and towels thrown on the bed. Don’t blame exhausted employees for a problem created by management. If you want professional service, staff the resort properly, pay people fairly and provide decent working conditions. We have travelled to many places and never had a personal belonging disappear from our accommodation. You managed to turn what should have been a relaxing holiday into two days of frustration and being treated as though we were the problem. If I could, I would give this place ZERO STARS. The only reason there is even one star is for the cats and the flowers. Everything else? An absolute disaster. And please, spare us the usual ChatGPT-generated response: “We sincerely regret that your experience did not meet our expectations. We will investigate the matter and take the necessary measures.” No. We’ve heard it already. We don’t need another copy-paste apology. We need accountability. We need answers. We came here expecting a holiday and make memories. We left with the feeling that we had to fight just to be heard. This is not the kind of memory anyone should leave a holiday with. And you didn’t just ruin a stay. You ruined the trust people are supposed to have when they leave their belongings behind and believe they are safe. And that is something a generic apology will never fix. If one employee can do your job better than you can, perhaps the problem isn’t the employee. Perhaps the problem is you.
