Catalonia Bayahibe

We stayed here in October 2025. We have stayed here before in the past. This time we had the most horrid experience. Our bathroom sinks were not working. They were clogged. We had to brush our teeth in the hallways. We complained about our door getting stuck due to the humility. After dinner one night everything inside our room was soaked in wet. Including our passports. The beds were wet all of our new clothes. Our passport were swollen due to the moisture. We reached out to several people including cooperate and they refused to give any accommodation. Only a steak house dinner. I had to wear the same clothes for two days. We asked to get another opportunity to return back to the hotel. In hopes of receiving a better re experience. It was awful especially with children. Below are all the pictures we took from the week stay. After being sent to a different room it was still full of moisture and had to sleep on towels.

I don't usually review any hotels I stay in as you get what you pay for, well I could not help myself as I needed to make aware other tourists of a certain member of the entertainment staff Dario on here I had a bad experience with him, he is very friendly but then it came to him wanting tips complaining the resorts don't pay enough. Using his dancing, classes, he charms women. First, he gains their trust, wins them over, and he wants a relationship with them, Little by little, he starts asking for money. He comes up with tragic stories: illnesses affecting his family, no food, when few days earlier he told me the hotel gives them meals, financial problems, etc. He pretends to live alone when I have clearly seen him with a getting cosy with a lady from the entertainment from Italy as staff from Europe work there. This experience with this member of staff is not acceptable as guests pay a lot of money to come on vacation to be faced with this behaviour. More

Was only here for a short time. The room was average. The all-inclusive is always amazing. The food was good. The beach was way too crowded for us. Way too many people and they run out of chairs on the sand. This was a major disappointment. The pools were nice and the water slides were fun. The bar service by the pool was extremely slow. I know it's island time, but its one person working and 2 other talking while they see the line get 10 plus people long. It took 10-15 min to get a drink. I have been to a lot of all-inclusive resorts. This location was okay or mid-range for me. The biggest bummer was the overcrowded beach.

Well first off the beach is amazing no seaweed, the water is beautiful the pictures do not do it justice. The chairs are plentiful, I always get up early to get a palapa and I always got the one I wanted ( I went earlier than I needed to). The beach had access for people in wheelchair, the the sand is soft and white. The room was small there was 3 of us but we made it work. The cleaning staff did an amazing job, coming back at night to pick up dirty towels. One evening we did not get our safe shut and the sweet lady waited for us to come back to the room and had us check the safe. Everything was there, thank God. We always tip but she got a good one that night. So it is a safe resort, and just to let you know we are older ladies so I was worried about how walkable the resort would be. It was very easy to get from our room to the beach and restaurants. If you have walking problems ask for a room close to the pool and restaurants. The only thing at the end Is the check in. Now for the down side, most workers do not understand English, the restaurant staff was not helpful and the food although not bad was also not a lot to choose from. Compared to other all-inclusive we have stayed at. We did meet one guy,he is an assistant manager just starting there, Julio. He was amazing! We talk to him and told him a lot of the things we were feeling and he said he would pass it on. Because truly if they could get the weight staff a little nicer it would be great. That being said, the cleaning staff was great, the people at the bar were wonderful, Funny. So I don't know that I would actually go back to this resort, but I would definitely go back to this beach. It's one of the best I've ever been to including Aruba, Cancun, Jamaica. It was great!!
