HM Alma de Bayahibe

Solid small boutique hotel. No complaints with food, drinks and service. The staff was warm, friendly, helpful and businesslike. Everything went as it should. Clearly not a 5 star but it was clean and well maintained. Our room was number was 4102 and was always well cleaned everyday. It did have a sewery smell and a bit musty which was not a pleasant way to be greeted. We ran the ceiling fan and opened the patio doors for a while which helped. Our only complaint. We are both 60 and the age demographic was 20s ish.....but we found plenty of people in our age group who enjoyed being more active. We could easily go back to this resort.

Beautiful resort - would recommend for anyone trying to relax and have a good time. The rooms were great, value was great as well!

Was excited for trip and was very disappointed in the hotel and food. Husband found WORMS in his steak.

The food us always overcooked, the chips taste stale, fish was like chewing paper, I never had one piece of mwat or chicken that was enjoyable

The staff was wonderful, the food was great, everyone was friendly, the service was beyond reproach. But the room had no seating besides plastic balcony chairs and a desk chair - no comfortable couch indoors to read when it was raining, for example. It also had cockroaches and no meaningful place to store clothes besides a hanging closet. The bed was also collapsed on one side and uncomfortable to sleep in. Definitely worth going, but the bedroom is not the highlight of the trip.
