HM Bavaro Beach

We checked into HM Bávaro Beach yesterday after a week at an all inclusive resort. The rooms are clean and the hotel sits on a beautiful stretch on beach. If you’re looking for paradise this might just be it. We have spent so much time walking the beach and in the infinity rooftop pool overlooking the beach. We had dinner at the Japanese restaurant and it was amazing. The thing that stands out more than anything is the customer service. These people work hard and go above and beyond for guests. From the complimentary little drinks and appetizers to try they absolutely knock it out of the park. We came back from the pool to a plate of fruit and bottle of champagne which was so lovely and unexpected. BEIGAIDA who serves at the restaurant at the sky bar is so so lovely as are all the staff there. The meals are lovely and very reasonable priced. The rooms are small but clean and include all you need. The hotel is in an area surrounded by other boutique hotels and airbnbs. We very highly suggest booking this little peace of heaven. You won’t be sorry if you do.

We booked this place because we thought the webside look great, and above all, we didin't want an all-inclusive package. On paper, this hotel was perfect. Two weeks after booking, we received an email (we'd received several) offering us the chance to choose our preferred room (the number) within the category (ocean view) for an additional fee, which we accepted...On the day we arrived,after waiting at least 30 minutes as the front desk, we were told that we would'nt be getting either the room we'd chosen or the ocean view room! It was the last straw, especially since we'd booked it four months ago. After a lot back-and-forth, we only stayed one night in that room, and the next day we were given a room with a sea view (not the one we had chosen). For a 6 night stay, losing the first night without even package isn't exactly what you'd hope for. All in all, the holiday wasn't too bad, apart from the constant noice on the beach (the beach next door where people are heavily drunk and shouting all the time). On the photos, you can't hear the noise... The service in the restaurant and bar is really too long, which is strange because there are plenty of staff (even though there aren't many people around when you are on the beach...). The food insn't up to scratch for this sort of hotel ( and yet, despite having travelled a great deal, we've never had this felling before), luckily, there were a few restaurants in a square within walking distance, which were very good indeed, a special mention to citrus restaurant, where we went several times. Another downside is that there isn't fitness center. Next time, we know where we won't be going !

All the staff was very kind but the security at night not at all. They need to improve the late check in process asap. They keep us waiting with the luggage on the street for almost an hour at 11 pm

This midsize cozy hotel is perfect for every aspect , and still reflects the anima Latina Of Dominican Republic. The whole staff it's incredibly nice helpful, fastt and efficient
