Serenade Punta Cana Beach & Spa

The resort itself and the beach are great. However, the customer service is only 2 out of 5. The staff needs to be more friendly and smile more. There are limited restaurant reservations, and we couldn’t even get to all the restaurants because we couldn’t find a reservation. They don’t even allow people to enter a restaurant without a reservation, even if it’s empty. Food at the buffet is below mid. Same food is repeated everyday with very low selection. The kids’ play zone is pay-to-play, with 7 tokens for $10. Most games require 2 tokens, which is inconvenient since it’s an all-inclusive family resort. The kids’ playground is closed at times when kids aren’t in the pool, so we couldn’t even let the kids play there. The check-in and check-out process is impersonal, with no smiles or questions about the stay or the experience. This makes you feel unwelcome.

So, I’ll start with the good things……the pools,beach and landscaping are super beautiful….the beach gets lots of seaweed, but they do a great job of constantly cleaning it up…..service was very good…..The buffets were very good but not great…..definitely check out the coffee bar….excellent coffee, with liquor or not….no extra charge at the coffee bar….the bartenders and drinks were excellent…oh, definitely do the catamaran snorkeling boat trip, even if you don’t snorkel….lunch is included and the meal was worth the price of the trip itself….book through the hotel, don’t book through the guys selling trips on the beach…..you basically get a lot of bang for the buck at the Serenade….. The bad stuff: The place is weathered and needs a renovation badly….the specialty restaurants were really bad…..stick with the buffets…..I wouldn’t tell you not to go there, just watch your expectations…..I personally would not go back to the Serenade, I would spend more money and stay at one of the newest all inclusive in Punta Cana…..

Another great experience at Serenade! Always a pleasure to come back. The hotel is clean the beach is beautiful but the highlight for me is always the friendly staff. Especially Fabio at the pool bar. He’s the best bartender, always attentive and courteous, makes awesome drinks and always has a smile on his face. Make sure to ask for him if you are there! Thank you Serenade, can’t wait to be back.

We had an awesome experience at this resort. We were there to celebrate my daughter's graduation, a group of 10 in total. I had read many negative reviews and was actually nervous but to be honest I was overall super satisfied. There are a few things to mention: 1. We were up on the fourth floor of building 6, and the elevator was broken most of the time which really sucked. There are two sets of stairs for 1 floor making it impossible to bring our big luggages up and downnall those stairs. We were thankful for the staff members who helped us with that. 2. The showers don't have doors or curtains. I had read about this on their facebook site so I came prepared, but I did find that very inconvenient. (make sure to bring a cheap shower curtain and hooks) 3. The a la carte restaurants are very hard to book but were empty when we were there. Food was very good at the a la carte. The staff is AMAZING, especially the entertainment crew. They are so friendly and welcoming, YAILIN is the QUEEN of dance. She is an amazing entertainer and her energy is contagious. She is a doll, so so sweet, she makes people want to move and have fun. We love you Yailin and we already miss you. MARIA is such a beautiful soul. She has a big heart of gold, is always making sure everyone and everything is ok. We always looked forward to seeing her everyday. We love you Maria, and will miss you. EDWALD is new to the crew. We met him on his first day, he is always smiling, and made us laugh alot, he is very funny and sweet. We adored him. Do not hesitate to book at this resort.

We stayed in the adult only side of the resort. Very quiet, which was exactly what we wanted. Not busy, no crowds….perfect! If you want quiet, then the adult side is where you want to be. Staff were very friendly no matter where we went, always smiling, always a hello. Hubert in the Steak house was excellent! We found the food great, even at the buffet….the only specialty restaurant we did not enjoy was the Italian. The beach was beautiful and we definitely enjoyed the quiet pool all week. We met some lovely fellow Canadians. We had the garden view rooms, which is more jungle view, and 2 roosters that woke me up everyday, but much quieter then the pool or beach view. I guess the only issue we found was it is in need of more renovations….it was upgraded in 2023? Still lots of work to be done in some areas. My room was beautiful…but none of the doors shut properly….you have to slam them, sometimes repeatedly to get them to latch. Gapping holes beside the elevators….elevator doors that don’t shut properly. Trim/panelling, around room doors looks like it’s falling apart….chunks of panelling missing, holes in the sides. More aesthetic issues than functional. Overall we would go back again….it was a fabulous relaxing week. Thank you 🙏
