2 stars max – Superior upgrade? Total rip-off—outdated room, leak that never stopped, toilets that won’t flush Booked a Superior upgrade through Sunwing and paid extra biggest waste ever. Got dumped in an outdated, basic room in Block 4: thin adjoining door blasting noise though patio doors, up at 5-6 a.m.), AC leaking nonstop onto the bedroom floor where we sleep every day for 7 nights. Hotel told Sunwing it was “resolved on day 2” pure lie. Toilet clogged constantly, sink not properly attached to vanity it moved around, showerhead rusted, bathroom window wouldn’t lock (felt unsafe), drain cover always off? One tiny garbage can in bathroom only, blankets short for our group. Staff brushed us off once when we asked. Sunwing site hyped it, reality: scam. Skip the upgrade, skip this place. One more thing. Good luck making it home our shuttle picked us up 45 minutes late. We barely made our flight home, because lines at airport was a nightmare!!

I hate being a Karen because I’m not and I don’t even leave reviews at resorts that I stay, but this one is so bad that I feel the need to. It’s literally 11:30 PM right now and I cannot get a coffee, but there’s plenty of alcohol to go around.. what kind of a resort doesn’t have coffee? How is this acceptable? I’m on day three of day seven and I’m probably going to leave on day four or five because my first impressions was very disappointing. It’s not a nice large open layout resort like all the others. This one is very close quarters and you go through what seems like a maze to get around. There are two swimming pools and it’s no different than your average house pool and there’s nobody even swimming in them, which is no surprise. The rooms are small and the elevator is tiny. There is only 1 la carte literally only one. The rest you have to pay for.. do you consider that all inclusive? The beach is not bad, but it’s not connected to the resort you have to walk a block away, which is kind of lame. It feels more like a hotel than a resort because it’s in like a town block, which you can walk around during the day there’s lots of shops and cafés and stuff like that which is cool. Overall I’m really disappointed for the price I paid if Cuba was still an option I would get way better value for less than half the price. Also, there is no overnight food choices so if you pass out from too much so or drinking and wake up at 2 AM, you’re out of luck for anything. Just poorly designed and managed plus, a lot of of the staff doesn’t speak much English and a language barrier is annoying.

I had a blast, animation was fun with John and Angel is the ambiance there. Beach is beautiful, food is great. Rooms are small but decor in resort is georgous. I would rate it a low 4 star. Need real coffee at the bar. No latte, no cap, no funny coffee drinks. Warning you its hot and staff are top. Giovanni and family

We originally had booked at a Melia resort in Cuba but we had to be redirect. When we first arrived it was a bit of a disappointment. At first they brought us to a small room with only one double bed. I like my friend but I don't want to share a bed, so we told the gentlemen that we needed 2 beds. We move immediately to a larger room with 2 beds. Towels and chairs are a bit scares when the resort was was busy. The staff and the security guards are pretty friendly, the room we were in was clean and everything worked. Some others we talked to were not so happy with their rooms. The resort is small but cute, to go to the beach you have a few minutes walk but security is really good. It was nice practicing my Spanish with the local people. What the resort could improve on... they need to replace broken chairs on the beach and purchase extras to stack at the back for overflow. They could use a few more chairs around the pools as well. Near the beach bar is a funky sewer smell. I'm not sure if that is something that could be fixed. Some extra towels would be handy as well. For coffee drinkers. There are no coffee machines in the room, but they have excellent coffee in the reception area starting at 530. Another help would be some foldable luggage racks to put a suitcase on. The food was pretty good. The staff and kitchen staff very friendly and hardworking. (Thank you Maria for getting me that extra milk for my coffee.)

Poor and cheap experience! Don't come! I don't even know where to start and I am only at day 2 in my 7 days stay! I paid the highest price for a remodeled new furniture room which looked OK and clean when I got in! No, the bed is not new, I slept on the floor because the bed was so squeaky and would make me wake time just turning sides. There is no shampoo/conditioner and the bar soap is so caustic it almost injured my skin. When we got here yesterday we went to eat in one of the buffet bars which had more flies than tables and chairs and they didn't even have bottled water. The bar close to one of the pools didn't have straws and not even one kind of decent wine (I drink sparkling and they didn't have it either!). Dinner was nothing better than school cafeteria food buffet, no option of soda drinks and juices would make me diabetic with so much sugar! Fruits are fresh so this is the only thing I am enjoying and able to eat besides some bread and butter so I don't starve. Service not good either, tables were dirty for a long time probably due to short staff. I will probably need to find some other restaurants outside to eat which completely defies the all inclusive purpose. This place should not even be considered "All inclusive"! They offer the VERY BASIC and anything a bit above needs to be paid extra! So far this is the WORST experience I had in my life regarding all inclusive resort. Do yourself a favor and don't book this resort. You will thank me later!
