Very disappointing experience at La Digue Lodge — misleading information and poor management Unfortunately, our experience at La Digue Lodge was very disappointing, mainly because of the way the situation was handled by the manager, Emmanuella Hassan. The hotel gives the impression that Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort, but in reality, internet access is only available in the rooms and around the reception area. This is a large resort, so once you go to the pool, dining area, or walk around the property, there is no internet connection. This was particularly inconvenient for us because we rely on Wi-Fi while travelling, and our mobile phone plan does not provide internet access in Seychelles. When we raised this issue with Emmanuella Hassan and explained that we felt the hotel's information was misleading, her attitude was very unpleasant. Rather than trying to understand our concern or offer a solution, she appeared dismissive, made faces, and seemed uninterested in what we were saying. On our first day, as check-in was at 3pm, we went to the pool and had to wait for three hours until our room was ready. This was especially frustrating because we could not properly access the internet while waiting. After we continued to raise our concerns, Emmanuella eventually said that she would speak to her operations team. There was no apology and no meaningful attempt to resolve the issue. Two days passed without any follow-up, and she never contacted us to update us on the situation. When we told her that we were disappointed and would leave a bad review, her response was simply, “OK,” which unfortunately reinforced the impression that she did not really care about our experience. The Wi-Fi information should be made much clearer to guests. There is a big difference between saying that Wi-Fi is available at the hotel and saying that Wi-Fi is available only in certain areas of a large resort. There was also another issue with our room. When we arrived, there was no blanket — only a sheet covering the mattress. We called reception at around 3pm and asked for a blanket, and they said it would be arranged. We then went to the beach, and when we returned to our room at around 10pm, there was still no blanket. We called reception again and explained that we had still not received it. We were then told that they would try to find a blanket, but because the resort was busy, if they could not find one, they would give us two sheets instead. We had already requested a blanket seven hours earlier, so this was extremely disappointing. A blanket should have been available in the room in the first place. It seems that the resort is simply too busy to cope with the number of guests, and unfortunately, this is reflected in the level of service. Overall, the lack of communication, the misleading impression about the internet, the issues with the room, and especially the dismissive attitude of the manager made our stay much less enjoyable than it should have been. For a resort of this standard, we expected much better customer service and management.

La Digue is honestly one of the most beautiful islands I’ve visited! 🌴🌊 We took the ferry from Praslin, which took around an hour and was quite bumpy, but totally worth it. Once we arrived, we hired bikes for around 150 Seychellois Rupees each and spent the whole day exploring. We also tried a glass-bottom kayak and could see the coral and fish underneath. The beaches were beautiful, with crystal-clear water, amazing views, and plenty of opportunities to swim. There are lots of restaurants around, including some with halal food, which was very convenient. Definitely one of the highlights of our Seychelles trip and a place I’d happily visit again! ❤️

Best beach location in la digue. The extensive gardens, the spacious A frame refurbished Chalet, the beach, the staff but not the food;) makes it in my opinion one of the best options in la digue. Pick up and drop off from the ferry ( La passe) terminal. Our A frame chalet was just a stroll throw from the beach as you can see on the pictures. Spacious accommodation, refurbished bathrooms, a mezzanine with extra space ( for kids) a nice terrace with sunbeds and a table. Not luxurious but very well in line with what La Digue : laid back, chill, barefoot cool vibes. The ladies are reception are so cool, the minute you arrive you are in the mood: You are on holidays. Open air lobby with wooden floor facing the gardens. Welcome drink on arrival and also the place to change your beach towels on a Daily basis. The restaurant is next door overlooking the beach with amazing views. Further up you will find the pool and a bar. Not used the pool at all as the beach in front of the property was great. Every morning the staff was removing the seaweed brought to the beach making the beach look pristine. Sunbeds are available all along the property and shade provided from the palm trees is very nice. Breakfast is basic and not much choice to be honest. You can rent your bikes at the hotel just by the entrance gate which is very practical 10€ per day and park your bikes just outside your accommodation. Also just by the gate there is a supermarket for your basics: sparkling water, nuts , fruits etc… The location being in the middle of the island makes it very convenient to go to each side of the island and away from the hustle and bustle of La passe ( island center, ferry quai etc) also being front line beach, the lodge is very appealing and sleeping with the waves noise is amazing. Location nice. The Staff dont smile at all and everything the do is slow. Order ice, it was melted when it arrives. The waiters mixing everyting. Food serves to wrong table. Serving 2 of one thing order once. Mixing bills. When we arrived the hotell our toilett didnt flush. After 4 repairs we demanded a new room. At the new room it took around 5 min to get hot water. The cleaning is ok, but one day the took our towels but not replaced it. Must call them 2 times before I could shower. The internet is bad and you have to login all the time. The pooltowels need to delivered the evening before to Get a new one.

Very good experience in a A-Frame beach chalet for 4 nights. Top resort, very well situated with a great pool. Also good food and very kind personal. Don’t read all negative reviews, be objective and test yourself! I recommend this place.
