This was our second visit to Alcazar and just like last year we are giving our stay 5 stars. We stayed 5 nights on half board basis and had a fabulous time. This time we were given an option sent via a link to book our own room which was brilliant knowing what room you were going to have. We used our Best card to get half price parking at 7 euros per day which is a godsend as there is virtually no parking around the hotel. Unlike some reviews we found the food to be fantastic, we had roast pork, veal, beef, chicken and turkey during our stay and there was nothing wrong with how the meat was cooked. There were other options as well and always a good choice of sides. Again at breakfast cannot fault the choice and the preparation. Found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful and no problem speaking English although some words of Spanish are helpful. The cleaning ladies are phenomenal and all areas of the hotel are immaculate and the cleaning of the bedroom as well. I must make special mention of a young lady in the restaurant called Nadia. My wife had a choking fit during breakfast one morning and she came over to offer assistance and reassurance which was very welcome. At the dinner that night she spotted my wife and came straight over to check on her and see how she was. What a lovely person. Thoroughly enjoyed our days around the pools which are fantastic and so well looked after. A word of warning the weekend guests arrive Friday and by lunchtime all the loungers were taken. This year though we did miss the French animation team who generated a fantastic atmosphere around the pool, I hope they do come back. The only negative is the WiFi it is truly awful and in 5 days probably only worked for a total of 5 minutes! Overall it was brilliant and looking at possibly visiting twice next year. Ignore the poor reviews we have travelled all around the world and this is a great hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 night and we were really disappointed. We arrived to the hotel earlier than the check in which we expected as we had an early morning flight. So we went down by the pool because we were told to check in at 2. We came back around 2:10 and they said our room wasn’t ready, we ended up waiting for an hour and 20 minutes in the lobby to go to our room. We wish we could have at-least stayed outside while they sorted the room, this was an inconvenience for us as I have an epi pen and needed to store it in the room. We found the staff extremely rude. We would not recommend this hotel to anybody who is english speaking. There was no one else who spoke english, the staff didn’t try to understand your english and were just point blank rude. There was some staff based in the restaurant who were nice, apart from that the staff shocked us. The food was also very disappointing, the chips were soggy and the pasta was so hard i couldn’t twist it. The meats were not cooked, and the food is mainly spanish foods which we didn’t like, and having an allergy i like to stick to what i know. We were also shocked with how poorly they delt with my allergy, the chef came out pointed and said you can have all this. I went to get a pancake and double checked if i was okay to eat it, she said there was nuts in it, luckily i didn’t listen to the chef. I would not recommend going all inclusive either, it is very confusing. You still have to pay for things as the menu for the all inclusive is so small. My partner payed for a pizza by the pool and was charged for two pepsi’ which he shouldn’t have been as the pepsis are part of the all inclusive. We stayed on floor 1 and the room next to us was so loud we couldn’t sleep in the night, they were screaming and banging next door. We couldn’t stay out on the balcony because there was people smoking which caused pains in my partners chest as he is asthmatic. Likewise, we could not sit by the bar for long as the smoke (which was coming from everyone) was affecting his chest. We are so glad we didn’t bring children as this would be enough to make us move hotels. They should have a smoking area policy. There was no uber or bolt service, which made it really hard for us to travel back and fourth to the beach. We asked the staff if they had a transfer to the beach, they said only in peak time which i find terrible, why have something only in “peak season”? We asked the reception for a taxi number 3x and none of the taxi numbers worked. One night we were stranded on the beach for 2 hours as we didn’t know how we were going to get back to the hotel. The entertainment during the night was all completely in Spanish, so we could not understand any of it. I found this ridiculous. With the amount of money we payed for this hotel, we will never be returning.

Belen as the front desk was excellent . She was efficient in checking us in fast and giving us infos about the property . The buffet was amazing . Cleaning ladies very efficient and courteous . We had a beautiful view over the ocean and the fee people we met , were friendly . We will be back :-) but Belen was a big plus !
