Third time at this fabulous hotel, just 10 minutes from the airport, professional and friendly reception staff makes your arrival seemless. We had our room within 30 minutes of arriving. Rui rooms are all very similar, well laid out, free safe and the best beds on the market. The place and gardens are well maintained and clean. Sun beds are off good quality and plenty of them. Evening can vary, the professional acts taken in were exceptional, especially yesterday’s act.

we have travelled to many RIU hotels at first glance this hotel looks good, but on the first Night we went to the Italian restaurant, we had the cod mine was a little thicker than my wife's it was under cooked, after about an hour a was vomiting, I thought this may be a one off , so we tried again this time I had the pork this was raw, i gave it back to the waitress, asking to speak to the supervisor, she shown it to the chef then disregarded it no one came to speak with me. i then went and spoke with a manager about it shown him a photo, he said ok, I said to him is that all you have to say this is raw food you are serving someone is going to get food poisoning, he said sorry shrugged his shoulders, i made a complaint to there head office who told me to go back and speak with the management team, i did this did not resolve anything, there was a incident with a head waiter who made us feel so uncomfortable we walked out of that restaurant, the food hygiene standards at this hotel are very poor they need big improvements, the management do nothing i seen bar people using the toilets without washing there hands, even after speaking with the management about this, this is basic hygiene, this is the poorest RIU hotel we have been to, they don't seem to care even at head office, dirty plates and cutlery in restaurants right through our stay after 4 days here i would have gladly gone home, this was said to the management and the rep neither resolved the issues

I booked this hotel as bringing my elderly and disabled parents for a week in the sun and as it had a flat promenade a long the sea front I thought it would be ideal. That's where I made my 1st mistake! We arrived at the hotel and were offered no refreshments or help with luggage considering my dad is in a wheelchair or walks with sticks. Arrived to our room which was clean and perfect for what we needed but 1 room only had 1 bath towel when booked for 2 people, this was a reoccurring issue in my parents room and had to phone down most days for 2nd towel. The pool areas are clean and tidy but have no waiter service, it's all self service. And they are not quick to tidy up after you either so cups we used in morning were still there when we got back from lunch. All the restaurants are buffet style bar the Italian which still has buffet style started but mains brought to the table along with the only place that brings you your drinks at the table. The food was luje warm even though being cooked and brought to the table. EVERY meal we had was taste less and luke warm. In the morning they would bring you a coffee but then no milk so yet again you would have to fetch that yourself. If you are wanting a luxury 4 star hotel with great service then this is not the place. Although it was clean and the pools were clean that's about all that the hotel offers. I have stayed in many hotels but have to say this is the worse service (or lack of it) I have received. There is nothing otgerthan a few shops either way you walk from the hotel unless u walk 25mins into Torremolinos so bare that in mind if you were wanting a picturesque walk in the evenings. This hotel is more like a 3 star help yourself all inclusive so I will not be returning. As much as the staff were friendly enough they would watch my elderly father try and tackle walking with a plate rather than assist.

Nice hotel in a quiet location on the beach front. Went here in May on a mother and daughter holiday. Food and drinks were good but not excellent. Plenty of options for breakfast. Lunch and tea there was always an option, the food was nice however repetitive and luke warm. Drinks were good, big selection. Cocktails are like frozen slushy style. Hotel is very good for catering for allergies. I was able to find lactose free options at breakfast and you can even request coffees at the bar with lactose free milk options. Hotel is very big. Lots to do with daytime activities, gym, indoor pool and spa facilities. Can always find a sun lounger. Quiet location, around a 15 minute walk into Torremolinos or the train station so a bit out the way of the atmosphere. Evening entertainment good, comical in a good way, and the team work hard to put on a great show. Rooms are big and cleaned every day. Staff are friendly and the hotel is spotless. We booked a trip to Gibraltar via the Tui rep in the hotel. Took around 3 hours to get there, so if you’re wanting a shorted day excursion, a town further along the coast may be better. Trip was excellent, and the English Rep in the hotel for Tui was very helpful.

Food very hit and miss! You should definitely miss the soup it’s disgusting as is the wine. Why serve such awful wine in a hotel when its country has such an important wine industry, one would think they’d have more pride. The Hotel is convenient for the beach and not too far from town.
