TUI BLUE Yaramar

We had a fabulous week at this hotel. The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and hard working. We were very pleasantly surprised by the standard of food. My husband especially enjoyed the wide range of fish on offer. We enjoyed a glass of cava at a plentiful breakfast each morning and especially enjoyed sitting close to the window watching people enjoying the flat, very clean promenade. The pool area was large with plenty of comfortable sun-beds. We enjoyed sangrias at the poolside bars and prices were reasonable. The evening entertainment was more frequent than expected and we enjoyed listening whilst enjoying a relaxing drink. It was lovely to see do many couples dancing. The hotel location was great for us. Waking up to beautiful sunrises and hearing the waves each morning was definitely a plus! There are some lovely tapas and cocktail bars just behind the hotel. The resort comes to life in the evening and should you choose to eat out, you will definitely be spoilt for choice. This was our first visit to this hotel and the lovely resort of Fuengirola which has plenty for all ages. We shall definitely return.

Stayed for 2 weeks in March 4 days after they reopened as we have done for the past 16 years or so. Check in was quick as we were the only 2 checking in, room was ready and we were allocated a room which we requested, thank you. Most rooms have been refurbished so they now look much more modern. Had a couple of small snags with the room which were rectified promptly. I would prefer a mirror and dressing table to do my hair as having Straighteners by bathroom sink is not great, next time I will bring a mirror. We also would have preferred drawers in wardrobe instead of the now shelves but that's only a minor thing, also the coat hooks that were once there have been removed, these could do with reinstating. Breakfast and dinner food options were good, ate in every night, loved the prawns which we had most nights. The staff in the dining room went out of their way to bring me a finger bowl for the prawns as the wipes were not available, thank you. Outdoor pool was heated, plenty of sunbeds, this may be due to the weather not being great and the hotel only being half full, the only slight annoyance we found was some days noisy due to jet washing beds which is not what you need when trying to relax. Lots of different nationalities this time and a more younger clientele which was not a problem. Entertainment still not to our liking as we are not dancers, but many are so cant please everyone, but we did enjoy Miss Gin which we find very good. Prices in the Bars are not bad for a hotel although the overall price has gone up quite considerably. Most Staff are very nice and friendly and did a great job looking after our needs. We did enjoy our stay very much and look forward to returning possibly in November. Thank you Yaramar.

Just stayed for the second time at this hotel for 10 days half board. Stayed in a refurbished room on floor 12 with limited side sea view. The view is amazing. The sun shines all afternoon on the balcony, which also has 2 reclining chairs. Lovely rooms with powerful rainfall walk in shower. Hot water at all times .Clean towels everyday. Kettle provided along with cups, tea, coffee and milk, which is replenished each day. The fridge and safe were free of charge too. Have to give a mention to the fabulous cleaners, especially the lovely, hardworking Rosa on the twelfth floor. Such a lovely lady, a credit to the hotel. The food in the restaurant is very nice. There's plenty of choice for everyone. A special mention to Phoebe who works in the restaurant. A lovely friendly young lady who I enjoyed chats with. The swimming pool was heated which was very pleasant . A large blue pool towel is provided free of charge and if you want to change it the charge is 1 euro. Saves space in your case. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend this hotel. The TUI rep said that in May it's changing from a TUI platinum hotel to a TUI blue hotel.

Although the hotel has been recently refurbished it is not to a very high standard. Check in: Very slow service with a number pf people waiting a long time. Check in by one person then to to be passed to anither for detail. Rooms: Requested double bed and was informed prior to rrivl this would be done.but was given 2 twins pushed together with 2 mattresses. I booked a delux double bed NOT 2 twins. Bathroom had little bits of mould wround the shower base. Not renevated to a high standard at all. TV, INTERNET: all good with no drop outs. Hotel location grat but freezing cold pool with the outdoor Jacuzi removed. GYM, SAUNA & INDOOR JACUZI: Very grubby indead..not been touched at all in years CUSTOMRT SERVICE: This was the major let down for us. We pre ordered romantic room deco and a bottle of Prosecco. The Prosecco was brough to our room 6 hours after check in just as we were leaving to go out for th evening so we told the room server that is was to late and no longer needed as should have been in the room on arrival as pre booked. We we charged 19 euros for this and on check out I pointed this out. but the customer service guy was NOT intersted and said we would be still charged and will be refunded if we had not accepted the bottle to our room( which we hadn't) I today received and email the day after my return to the UK saying I would receive a refund of 5 euro. I paid 19 for a service I never received and they only refund 5???? PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE SHOCKING CUSOMER SERVICE. DEFINATELY NOT 4 STAR CUSTOMER SERVICE MORE LIKE A 1 STAR AT BEST!!! We will be cancelling our 2 week start in July

As a couple we have returned after 10 days. This is not our first visit but we had stopped going because of the food in resturant being poor and often not hot. We were pleasantly surprised that after the recent refurbishment things have improved greatly the food is now very good hot and wide selection. The rooms are very comfortable and decorated to a high standard.All the staff are very friendly. It's a shame that Happy hour has been changed to 5pm - 6pm it use to be later. You use to get a lot of people in Yarama bar which had a nice atmosphere but when ever we checked it there was only odd couple in there or closed. There is nightly entertainment as previously. We look forward to returning to the Yarama in the future.
