Viva Cala Mesquida Suites & Spa Adults Only

Having just returned from a fabulously relaxing holiday at Viva Suites, we are thrilled to add further praise to the many positive reviews on trip adviser. As it is 16+, peace and quiet is practically guaranteed and the hotel buildings are set in lovely gardens. Everything is done well here and all the staff are cheerful polite and they are clearly proud of the standards they maintain. Cleanliness is excellent, the food is very good and varied, and the hotel facilities provided all we needed. It was our second visit as we like it so much there. We opted for the all-inclusive package which was convenient as the Cala Mesquida resort is quite small, with little option for eating out locally. We also booked a room with a rooftop terrace which added to the tranquility of our stay. The terrace was furnished with two sun loungers, a settee and chair with comfortable cushions, and a table. There was also a hot tub and a double bed style lounger both placed under retractable awnings for a bit of shade as needed. No review is complete without mentioning Marcel their resident guide who offers lovely walking excursions visiting neighbouring bays for the cost of transport. The excursions are varied with such things as wine tasting or maybe a lovely lunch at Betlem after a coastal walk or simply morning walks taking in views at beautiful spots such as Canyamel or Cal Rajada with a relaxing stop at a local cafe to round off the morning. Marcel is passionate about the beauty of Mallorca and his enthusiasm for sharing his walking experience is front and centre of his excursions. You will certainly learn things along the way as Marcel shares his local knowledge which is delivered in his cheerful and good-natured style.

Absolutely above the clouds after this vacation at the Viva Suites in Cala Mesquida. Went here with my spouse after a recommendation from a friend to visit the area. And just the location itself is enough for a great holiday. When entering the hotel you feel seen and heard the second you step through the door. Whether it be the receptionists, cleaners or anybody from the staff. A big homage to Kristian, who practically ran the entertainment from morning to night. A true sweetheart whom me and my spouse had many meaningful conversations with. I normally despise animation at most hotels, as they are usually very loud and in your face. But his energy matched the hotels calming vibe, and the activities as well as the evening entertainment felt fun and enjoyable rather than forced. I couldn’t praise the cleaners more, as they always made sure our room was spotless, and always greeting us with a smile. Same goes for the rest of the staff. The hotel is all and all ideal for couples and people looking to have a relaxing holiday. With fantastic food, stunning scenery and nice people. We will definitely be returning!

We’ve just returned from our wonderful holiday to viva Cala Mesquida suites & spa. We wanted something special as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary & this place certainly didn’t disappoint. From the moment we set foot inside the hotel we knew we had picked the right place. We had booked a selection club room & we were greeted by Patri one of the selection club team. She greeted us with a warm & genuine smile & offered us champagne whilst we checked in. She explained the hotel layout to us & helped us to our room. We had booked a junior suite with selection club & were delighted with our room. It was spacious with a mini bar coffee machine, an extremely comfortable bed & a lovely walk in shower. Our room overlooked the oasis pool which was the one we used as it was heated & had an exclusive area for selection club members with Balinese beds. There was never an issue getting a subbed either. We chose all inclusive as we knew there wasn’t a lot around the hotel so we enjoyed a great selection of food drinks around the hotel. The buffet was large & varied for breakfast & evening meal with a different theme each night so you weren’t eating the same thing every night. We also had few lunch’s at the blue moon & used both the à la cart restaurants. The tapas wasn’t our favourite but we did enjoy the blue moon grill. But our favourite was the buffet for the verity. Drinks were good measures & definitely not watered down like you get in some places. Each night there was a show at 9pm that lasted approximately 45 mins to an hour. It’s a very relaxed laid back resort so if you’re looking for lively this probably isn’t the place for you but if all you want to do is relax & take it easy it’s perfect. They do do some walks & bits in the day but we didn’t do any. We did have a walk down to the Beach & sampled the beach club that’s exclusive for selection club members but preferred the pool area. All the staff were warm and friendly but I just want to mention a few. Mari Pez at the oasis pool bar was lovely & made a great sangria. Our room was kept spotless by the lovely Damaris Garcia , who always had a smile on her face always & I don’t know the lady’s name but she was looking after the buffet restaurant & again was always welcoming with a smile & a greeting. But the one person that really stood out was Patri, she’s a real credit to your hotel & the perfect person to greet you. She helped us with a late check out but just generally I could have talked with her for hours as she’s such a warm & genuine person who made us feel special. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful place but as others have said we will get a private transfer next time as it will half the transfer time to this fabulous place !

We enjoyed a great week at our favourite hotel. A warm welcome from Baba, Miriam and Madeleine after an early flight. We enjoyed lunch at the Bistro Bar which we always look forward to going to.This a la carte bistro has an excellent menu to suit every taste and is well presented. The food in all the restaurants in this hotel is excellent and we can highly recommend them all. The Buffet is excellent, a different theme every night, warm greetings every evening by Sensu and her team. Our room was a royal terrace which we enjoyed very much and cleaned to a high standard every day, thank you Vanessa. The whole hotel is spotless and well maintained by the housekeeping staff , the pool men and the gardeners. All the staff are kind, friendly and so cheerful it’s always a pleasure to see them, they work very hard. There is entertainment during the day and also good evening entertainment, our favourite this week was Qimica Latina and Urban Acrobats who were amazing. An excellent entertainment team of Eleni and Kristian. The hotel is in a beautiful natural area with lots to do including horse riding, biking and hiking. Marcel takes guests out into the nature with wonderful walks every day and of course the beach and the sea is very close. A few familiar faces have moved on and we send them our very best wishes for the future, Paula, Laura, Adrian and Eduordo Gigi (sorry, unsure spellings!) Looking forward to returning and thank you .

We were greeted by Ben at Reception with a big smile and a glass of bubbly - a most genuine welcome. He then informed us that due you the hotel only being open for 48 hours into the season, that our room was upgraded. We were absolutely over the moon to discover that our room was a duplex with a fabulous roof terrace including a hot tub and double bed lounger. The view of sea and mountains was incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed all the food in the restaurants and every member of the staff that we encountered was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Oasis pool as it was heated and very peaceful there. Overall, a fantastic, relaxing holiday.
