HM Dunas Blancas

4 night trip with friend. Booked solo rooms single bed in room. Very small. Shower cubicle was a mission to get in and close the door and I’m small. Anyone bigger than 9 stone wouldn’t fit in My room was small. Friends room she could fit in shower cubicle but had issues with loose sink. Noisy toilet. Staff were very good to offer moving rooms but other rooms we found worse. Good location for S’arenal as close to beach. Bus is around corner to palma. 40 mins. Hotel pools tiny and main one in shade as how the design of hotel is. Might have had sun in afternoon. Very expensive for room quality. Breakfast ends 10.30am and we got told to leave half way through eating as they wanted to clean restaurant. It was ok for lads stag weekend I guess

Had a lovely short break. Ideal location. 2 min walk to beach & promenade. Bus to Las Palmas from promenade every 30 mins. Lots of nice eateries near by

The hotel is close to the strip and beach but that part of the beach is narrow and very crowded. Bus stop to Palma very close and a really good service, just 2€ each way. Hotel reception and guest areas are really nicely decorated and furnished, spotlessly clean. Staff are really helpful. The 3 pool areas are very nice, lovely cushioned sunbeds. Plenty of sunbeds for everyone so, thank goodness, no one reserving them with towels. As late September much of the pool areas are in the shade from surrounding buildings so needed to move a couple of times, nothing the hotel can do about that. Pools were cold My room was small, size ok for me as a solo traveller, but a bit basic and apart from hanging space no storage for other clothes. Unfortunately, when I went to breakfast, around 8.30 am, the cooked breakfast was cold, but plenty of other choices. No English tea! Food from the bar is well cooked, some items are a bit expensive. I noticed how clean behind the bar and kitchen was, gleaming. Quite a lot of noise from groups outside of the hotel all day, but I didn’t hear anything around the pool or at night, my room was on the inner side of the hotel. The Tapas bar opposite the hotel is good. All in all a very smart boutique hotel close to shops restaurants and the beach

The hotel was fantastic. Staff so helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean and the smell in the hotel reception was lovely. Housekeepers came every day and changed towels if required. Breakfast was varied and so fresh. The proximity to the beach was great although we didn't love playa de palma. Overall we could not fault our stay at HM Dunas Blancas.

Stayed here for 4 nights as a couple and we were generally fairly happy with our experience. First impressions as we came into the hotel were good, the lobby is pleasant and the check-in was quick and efficient. Our room was on the 3rd floor, and although it was clean and functional it was fairly basic and on the small side. There was a TV and mini-fridge, but no kettle. We had 2 single beds pushed together rather than a double, and the shower/toilet room was tiny with no sink, so you have to use the sink in the main room to wash your hands after using the toilet. The hotel wasn't too busy while we stayed there, but on the last night before we travelled home there seemed to be more people coming back to rooms on our floor in the early hours of the morning. We did notice how much the noise from the corridor (doors slamming, people talking etc) carried into our room, which isn't ideal when you have to get up for an early flight, and when it gets busy I imagine it wouldn't be great for families with young children. Outside, the pools were good for cooling off when sunbathing, and the pool beds and chairs were comfortable and plentiful. The location worked really well for us. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the long sandy Palma Beach, where the seafront strip provides lots of bars and restaurants. As others have mentioned, the area mainly caters to German tourists who come to party, but we didn't mind this at all and the atmosphere always seemed jovial and good-spirited while we were out. We caught a bus to Palma one day (service number 23 or 25) which was only €2 each, and from there took another bus to Soller which has a beautiful beach and is quieter and more sedate than Playa de Palma.
