HM Mar Blau

We’re currently on holiday at HM Mar Blau. We’re were initially sceptical following some slightly negative reviews but are pleased to say that we’re so pleased with our stay. The food is truly lovely (and we’re a bit particular). So far we’ve had Italian night, cheese night and a variety of Spanish food. The children have adored it all from the churros at breakfast to the fantastic selection at dinner. All the staff we’ve met have been lovely. I never leave reviews but felt this was needed. Thank you.

Overall we had a good holiday the food was lovely with lots of choice and variations each evening. The beds were comfy and the apartment room was a good size. The pool was good and there was plenty of loungers. The staff were generally friendly and the supermarket on site was well stocked. However this hotel is in need of some upgrades in the bedrooms in particular the bathroom; the pool was a bit small for the amount of people and it was quite dirty; and the restaurant area and cleaning of the rooms wasn’t great. From an area perspective it’s good because you’re close to both Calla Millor and Sa Coma but the walk to either when it’s hot is a lot. I would say it’s more like a 3 * hotel.

This hotel is in a quiet area between the great resorta of Cala Millor and Sa Coma both have beautiful beaches and between them hundreds of shops and restaurants. The hotel staff were all friendly and little shop useful. The rooms are dated but clean and beds were comfy. I did have concerns about safety in the main pool. The female lifegaurd was with an elderly lady most days and was more interested in helping her around than watching the pool. Also they alow ball games in the pool which is fun but maybe could be in a certain part of the pool as I saw numerous children and adults hit in the face by teens and adults throwing balls. Perhaps if the lifeguard paid more attention to the pool and less to the elderly lady and eating there lunch she could keep pool users a bit safer! Overall a nice stay but could do better

Lovely stay , and helpful staff

Overall it was a pretty nice hotel! Located near to the bustling resort of Cala Millor with lots going on around it. Rooms are designed very well and spacious enough for our family of three. It was mostly clean in the apartment. Some things that brought down our rating on our stay was having a kettle that didn’t stop boiling and handle was so hot it burnt a member of our family’s hand. Touchscreen on hob was very sensitive and didn’t turn off either. However, beds were very comfortable. There was not enough seating in balcony area for us meaning we would have to drag out chairs from inside. One morning, a cleaner walked in without knocking when we were in our pyjamas! We did not do the all inclusive option however the hotel had a lovely little supermarket to go in with all your basic needs for breakfast and lunch. Pool had nice American truck too selling nice good quality food. Now despite the pool being huge and it having lots of comfortable sun beds that were not too crowded. The actual pool itself was packed and had lots of activities going on that would block people who just wanted to have a nice swim. Lots of ball games were happening too meaning that a ball went smashing into my sunglasses and lifeguard did not act immediately. I certainly don’t recommend for a relax due to loud entertainment and entertainment team were very pushy at getting people to join. We loved this hotel and thought everyone was very friendly!
