Absolutely stinks of human sewage throughout the hotel due to broken or poor sanitation/sewage blockage, toilets near pool closed trying to fix. Drinks are crap and given the all inclusive cheap stuff when half board and paying premium prices Food excellent in evening, though some things taste of chemicals/bleach Diabolical location, just a main road full of souvenir shops selling cheap Chinese crap, again at premium prices. Would never come here again. Staff amazing, really great people. Hotel rooms clean but form over function, very small. Beaches fantastic but have to pay 20+ euros for 2 beds and umbrella as not part of hotel. Nightmare situation with sun beds at hotel with no availability if you go down after breakfast, all gone, towels everywhere with nobody actually lying on them, plus 20 euros per towel de

Fantastic hotel. My first holiday on my own and I enjoyed every second. My room was on the bottom floor which was 30seconds to the beach and pool it was the so convenient, especially being on your own. The beach is lovely and clean, the water is so blue and clear it’s complete bliss. I managed to get a sunbed everyday I didn’t get up extra early about 9 and most of them were taken but I managed to get one by the splash pool. The restaurant was clean and inviting. I’m coeliac and the chefs would walk me around and explain to me what was gluten free. They said they would make me seperate fries, pizza and pasta if I wanted. They had gluten free puddings in the back to. Breakfast they had a gluten free section with its own toaster and pastries/cakes. Really impressed. I used the gym every night, it had everything I needed! The only thing is no air con in the workout area compared to where the weight machines were etc and it was extremely hot! I would highly recommend iberostar hotels!

Stayed here for 6 nights. The hotel is very nice modern feel. Room a little small and a little bit more dated. We had a double room with side sea view for 3 of us. And it’s too small with little storage and getting ready facilities. No makeup table etc. Hotels facilities are good Gym is okay for a hotel too. We had a bed and breakfast board as we wanted to experience the area in the evenings not just the hotel. You are made to feel less of a guest when you’re not all inclusive. You literally have to pay for everything. The bar staff won’t even provide you with water without charging you. Which is probably illegal but thats how it is. Overall I’d say this hotel is very nice and worth a visit but it suits all inclusive option really as the hotel is trailered to that. The bar is basic drinks, no fresh juice only concentrated rubbish. Beers are fine. Cocktail menu minimum. Which okay for all inclusive but when you’re paying you expect better choices

Iberostar Playa de Mura is situated on the north of the island right on that very long beach. It is a very well organised and efficient hotel. We were on the all inclusive package and the food was superb. There was everything you needed at the buffet and also at the Dunas Restaurant by the pool where lunch was served. The only slightly annoying thing was that the wine in the restaurant was pretty dreadful and the wine at the Dunas is actually very nice but you can't get the wine in the Dunas restaurant in the main restaurant in the evening. We don't know why but that was rather annoying. The staff were great throughout the resort. We would like to say a big thank you to Toni on reception who was very helpful with our lost luggage situation. Our room was on the ground floor down a dark corridor and not really what we were hoping for considering what we had paid. We wanted a room that was on a higher floor (sure I requested this). Our balcony was big but was never in the sun. It was permanently in the shade. Shower was good - nice and powerful. Shower gel and conditioner provided but no robe. Two sinks, hairdryer and fridge. Water available from machine in the corridor – fill up with the glass carafe provided whenever you want. Very environmentally friendly so no plastic bottles. The room had an acute shortage of surface area to put things on. Just a tiny little ledge between a wall and a series of drawers so we really struggled and had to put a lot of our belongings on the floor. A chest of drawers or a table in the room would have been a huge help and there was plenty of room for either. The other issue with the room is that, like a lot of modern hotel rooms, you turn out the light at night and all the lights come on. The first one was the blue standby light on the TV which lit up the whole room blue. That was easy solved by pulling the plug out. The less easy to solve problem was a socket down near the floor just above the skirting which had a bright light running the whole way round it which was literally like having a torch shone in your face. To say it lit up the whole room is an understatement. Sleep was impossible. We could not find a way to turn this off or disconnect it. After much trial and error we eventually found a way to block it out using our black tennis racket cover wedged up against it, with one of our suitcases wedged up in front of that and two pillows and a rucksack strategically placed around and above. All of that lot together just about managed to block out the light enabling me to sleep. What it is doing there neither of us had a clue it's not possible to turn it off it. It shouldn't be there at all. Photo attached to this review showing the palaver every night to block out this light. There was also a small reading light on either side embedded in the wall. Took a couple of days to work out what it was by accidentally pressing it in the middle and it popped out. However, even when pushed back in, the light still shines around the edges. It doesn’t completely turn off. I had to put up with this as it was too high up on the wall to cover it with anything. Finally, bear in mind that this is a family hotel. We booked it because it had a tennis court which you book through reception and which we used every day. But it is a family hotel. If you don't have kids, there are a lot of children's activities going on all the time. The hotel is totally catered to young children. There are no adult only quiet areas. There are also a lot women and men waving their arms around in the pool doing aquarobics everyday with music booming out very loudly – does it have to be so loud? Really? If that bothers you don't stay here. Overall, a good well run hotel and we had an enjoyable stay.

We stayed here this month with our 2 year old and had a brilliant time. Hotel was lovely, very clean, modern and staff were friendly. We enjoyed the food. My daughter has a few food allergies and I particularly appreciated that this was taken seriously by the hotel. We were given a form to fill out then the head chef would go around the buffet showing us which foods to avoid. They were very friendly and emphasised that they would make her a dish personally if she wanted anything which contained nuts. It made me feel much safer and more comfortable feeding her during our stay. I think this hotel is especially suited to families as there were lots of activities for the children to do during the day. As parents, we were able to relax more due to the multiple toy/play areas dotted around the restaurants and bars. My suggestions for improvement would be: - maintaining the play areas slightly better, some toys were broken/missing or barriers a bit wobbly and some toys which were unsuitable for under 3s with small parts - providing a crushed ice machine beside the water refill stations as the water wasnt particularly cold Overall, this was a great hotel and we plan to return. -
