Valentin Playa de Muro Aparthotel

Beautiful place with everything you need. The Bungalow is nice and big everything is very clean. The staff all around is amazing. The food is really nice and you have a lots of choice (Buffet). When we are in Mallorca we always stay at Valentin for few days.

We’ve just returned from a weeks holiday at Valentin De Muro and had a fantastic stay, we would highly recommend this hotel and struggle to think of any negatives! We stayed in a golden bungalow which was modern, clean and comfortable. The rain shower was amazing! We had a nice terrace area and although it was in the shade it was nice to relax there after a day in the sun, it also had a drying rack which was handy for hanging beach towels and swimwear. Housekeeping visited every day and they were always very friendly and helpful. We had considered a golden superior bungalow at time of booking but decided against paying an additional £400 for what the only difference appeared to be was a hot tub, we weren’t sure if it was a correct choice but during our stay we had a look at what we were potentially missing and found the extra money just for a hot tub probably wasn’t worth it in our opinion. The location is excellent. There’s a bus stop right outside the hotel making it easy to explore the island. We took the bus from the airport which was approximately £8 each way and took around 1 hour and 10 minutes, quite a nice way to see other parts of the island on an air conditioned bus, saving a small fortune on taxi fees. There is a large Eroski supermarket 10 minutes walk along the main road (we found a pathway through the trees beside the road). The beach is an easy 10-minute stroll away (see aerial photo), along a wooden walkway through pine trees once you’ve crossed the road. A lovely clean beach with crystal clear water and stunning views. There are sun beds and umbrellas available for hire, and some beach bars around a 10 minute walk along the beach towards C’an Picafort. There are two swimming pools, one for relaxing and kids, and the other for lane swimmers. The lane pool is advertised as 25m long but it certainly isn’t, we worked it out to be around 15 meters. There are Bali beds around the lane pool and it was much quieter there so we mostly used this pool and relaxed around it too. We booked half board (breakfast and dinner) and the food was incredible, fresh and well stocked up no matter what time you visited. There was a different theme each night (Mexican, sushi, etc), but also a wide selection of other food if you didn’t like the themed option. A chef was cooking fish and meat every evening, and in the morning they would be cooking omelettes, pancakes etc to order. For breakfast there were many hot and cold options. The dessert table was delicious with a wide selection every night. You have to pay for a drink each night, we thought water could be included at least. Another niggly thing was that the coffee pods aren’t replaced in the daily room service, we had to ask reception each time we wanted more pods and these were charged to the room at 50 cents per pod. The restaurant and bar staff were all very friendly and efficient. Special mention to Gareth who was very entertaining, especially when the entertainment was on in the evenings! If we had to find a downside, it would be that some of the entertainers in the evenings were a little too pushy, trying to make guests sing or dance when many of us just wanted to sit back and enjoy the show. On one occasion it felt uncomfortable enough that we left earlier than planned, as did several others. Overall, our stay was wonderful. The hotel had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday—great location, comfortable rooms, excellent food, and welcoming staff. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Valentin De Muro and would happily return.

Nice hotel with separate bungalows. Two nice pools, we only used one as the other was more for lane swimming. My son enjoyed the exercise class but maybe more variety would be good. Breakfast was great with all you could want- cooked breakfast, omelettes, pancakes, bread, honey, fresh fruit and lovely coffee. It was a shame there was no water in the room on arrival (given we were 4 hours delayed so arrived at 5am!). Also we asked for an iron numerous times for one to never materialise! The air conditioning stopped working three times but this was quickly rectified by maintenance but still annoying! Every morning there was a horrible rotten egg smell outside and this also remained every day in the reception area. The tea, coffee and milk in the room weren’t replaced at all either. Our main and very major issue was the fact that on day two, we checked our safe and all of our money (€800) and my watch (worth 1.2k) had been stolen. We reported this to reception immediately who came straight away and checked for signs of a break in. They said the safe hadn’t been broken into but there was a mark on the door. We then felt immediately uncomfortable and unsafe. They said they’d report to the police but didn’t offer any other support really. We said we wanted to change rooms but on reflection decided there was no point as we had nothing valuable left to steal! A couple of days went by and we were told to fill a form in to take to the police (we needed to for our insurance too). The next day we were told the police had found my watch when arresting two people in Palma who were known to them and had other items from various break ins. It was confirmed the marks on the door showed where the two professional thieves had broken in to our room. They also recovered the money. We had to go to Palma police station to get my watch and then were told there would be a hearing about the money. Our concern is why were we targeted? It seems no one else in the hotel was so was this an inside job where the thieves were tipped off? Whilst helpful in terms of informing the police, the staff didn’t offer to help in terms of remuneration given the fact we had no money left for meals and had to resort to a credit card. It would have been nice if someone from the hotel came and checked in on us to see if we were ok, rather than us initiating things to see what was happening. We struggled to sleep most nights after this. We did enjoy the rest of the holiday but it definitely put a dampener on it and we wouldn’t return to this hotel again nor recommend it to anyone else. If staying here, I would recommend not bringing cash and also not putting anything valuable in the safe. I wish I’d kept my watch on but it actually ensured we may now get the cash back as there was no other way of them tracking it to us.

We stayed for two nights in a superior bungalow with half board, and everything was amazing. The place is quiet, private, and very comfortable. Our bungalow was clean and cozy, and we had a private hot tub just outside our door. It was only for us, and we loved it. We went as a couple to celebrate our anniversary, and it was perfect. The staff were very kind and helpful. The food was also really good. Even though we were there as a couple, we saw that it’s also a great place for families. Some bungalows are bigger and can fit more people. We only left because our vacation ended, but we will come back for sure. It was a special trip we will never forget.

Location is great. Beach access 5 mins walk across the hotel. Room size and cleanliness is on point. Food quality and variety every nights was incredible. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Great pool size. A place for families, couples or solo travellers and for cyclists.
