I had a wonderful dining experience at the Eden hotel restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, with great taste and quality in every dish. The staff were also very friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I would definitely recommend it

We were greeted by Adithya when we arrived, a huge smile and a lovely welcome. I had emailed prior to leaving the UK to ask if there was any chance of an early check-in as we would have been travelling over 24hrs door to door by the time we got to The Eden and didn’t want to hang about till 4:00pm to check-in. I was advised that Staff will do their best to accommodate an early check-in, although it will be their New Year and they will be busy, they could not promise. We were checked in soon after we arrived by Lithara, so we didn't have to wait till 4:00pm. Lithara showed us to our rooms and informed us, should we need anything to let her know. The welcoming Staff were ever so lovely and this did not change throughout our stay, if anything, the service from the Staff was outstanding. We had a few trips planned at the start of our stay, which meant we were leaving the hotel in the middle of the night. Lithara arranged breakfast packages for us to collect from Reception, both Adithya and Oli ensured they were ready and waiting for our departures. Adithya would ask the following day, about how our trip was, if we took many pics and where we would be going next. Adithya was so lovely, always smiling, caring and asking if we ever needed anything. Lithara would come down to breakfast on our chill days and ask if we were ok and if there was anything else she could do to make our stay even more comfortable. We would eat in the Ala Carte Sippy Restaurant and were always greeted by a huge smile from Rasanka, Konara, Esru (Isuru, not sure of the spelling) and the wonderful Chefs (sorry didn't get the names). Rasanka got to know that I ate vegetarian and loved my Cappucino, so ensured he would recommend the best dishes he thought I would enjoy. The Chefs catered the spice accordingly and each time, they outdone themselves from the previous times. If Rasanka came across us at the pool on our chill days, he made sure to come over, ask after the previous days trips, asked if we needed anything and to let him know. Jayasanka and Supun were ever so lovely to us throughout our stay and they knew we always preferred beds in the shade - we certainly could not handle the SL heat, in the UK we get one week of heat and that's too much for us, lol. The Sports Bar, what can I say, I think all the Staff got to know I watched the IPL and enjoyed my Cappucino, they would have either the control waiting for the match or the channel already on for me after dinner. The Staff all did different art on my Cappucino's and that was so so lovely to see, and they always brought it over with a huge grin on their faces. During the days, when I walked by, I would hear a voice "Hi Ma'am" and would pop my head in to say hi back and see how they were doing. I spent quite some time chatting with Shehan, Sudhra, Rishitha, Hirusha, Kaveesha, Pasan, Ruwan and Sameera and their customer skills were amazing. Every day they would greet me, listen to me saying it was too hot and if the AC could be put on in the Sports Bar for when I watch the cricket. I'm sure I must be the most reported guest on your list requesting for AC in the Sports Bar at Reception, lol. Although we didn't get our rooms cleaned daily, we made sure we were polite to the House Keeping Staff, always saying hi and asking how they were, they would do the same in return asking if we had a nice day or if we were going out on trips that day. Sadly, I didn't take names of the House Keeping Staff, but do pass that on to all of them from room 141. Each Morning I would turn my head to the Reception area and shout morning to the staff on the desks, and they always replied, smiled and waved - this would be Adithya, Trainees, Lithara and other Staff that I hadn't spoken with. I did the same with the Sports Bar, would pop my head in and say morning, and I got the same welcome back. When I passed House Keeping in the corridors, they were met with the same smile, Morning and always received the same back. When retiring to our rooms in the evenings, I made a point to say Good Night to Sports Bar Staff and Reception, and still the same smile and Good Night back. This was wonderful to see, especially as most of the Staff were Youngsters and this touched me that their social skills were to a high standard. The Service provided at this hotel from Lithara, Adithya, Ala Carte Staff, Sport Bar Staff, House Keeping, Pool and Towel Staff have been outstanding, we have never felt this at any other holiday. The way the Staff conduct themselves on a day to day basis and get to know the Guests is amazing and a huge credit to The Eden. To have a fully staffed hotel and Staff still making the time to ask Guests and remember what each Guest did to follow up again, is mind blowing - well done to all the Staff, honestly this is a huge plus in my eyes. Our Family consisted of a 27yr old Son and with Myself and Hubby being in our 50's, we were definitely impressed and will be returning with our other Son, so he can experience the same love we were shown this time around. I have nothing negative to say at all, so keep up all the good work and hope the credit is passed on to each and every Staff member, so they are aware that they are a valued member, who made our first trip to SL ever so memorable. I believe a holiday is made or broken by the way you are treated by Staff at the Hotel you stay at, and honestly, I have come back talking so highly of all the Youngsters who took the time out to chat with me on a daily basis, may you all stay blessed and forever be the smiling and caring selves you have shown us this time around. Staff was friendly and had a great experience. However would be great if food is good too.

Service is very good . Foods and hospitality is fantastic , if any one visits srilanka they can stay here. This hotel is very good at serving
