Our visit to Pandanus Beach Resort was nothing short of outstanding. We spent the day enjoying a delicious lunch, relaxing by the pool, and indulging in a delightful high tea experience. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff made us feel welcome and valued. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the food. The lunch buffet offered an impressive variety of both local Sri Lankan and continental cuisine, catering to every palate. There was an excellent selection of fresh salads, along with several rice varieties including traditional Sri Lankan red rice, white rice, and fragrant biriyani. The roast pork station was particularly memorable—the meat was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavour. A special mention must go to the seafood platter, featuring succulent lobster, prawns, and fish, accompanied by a range of delicious sauces that enhanced the flavours beautifully. The dessert corner was equally impressive, offering a wide assortment of sweets and treats that provided the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. The resort's facilities were exceptionally well maintained. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, while the bathrooms were modern and equipped with all the necessary amenities, including ample bath towels, shampoo, toothbrushes, shower caps, and indoor slippers. The high tea spread was another highlight, featuring a generous variety of beverages, savoury short eats, and delectable sweets. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and thoroughly enjoyable. What truly sets Pandanus Beach Resort apart is its staff. Every member of the team was pleasant, professional, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident throughout our visit and added greatly to the overall experience. If you are looking for a place to unwind by the pool or beach, enjoy excellent cuisine, relax in the privacy of comfortable surroundings, and experience authentic Sri Lankan hospitality at its finest, Pandanus Beach Resort is an excellent choice and highly recommended. Two families, all adults, decided to spend a relaxing holiday together in search of sun, sand, waves, and the perfect opportunity to capture stunning sunsets. We found the ideal destination at Pandanus Beach Resort. The resort offered spacious, high-quality accommodation, with beautifully appointed rooms and breathtaking sea views. The only sound we heard was the soothing rhythm of the waves, creating a truly peaceful atmosphere. From reception to senior management, the hotel staff were exceptionally attentive, consistently going above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Their genuine hospitality reflected the philosophy of treating “guests as gods.” The standards of cleanliness were impeccable and entirely in keeping with the resort’s star rating. The housekeeping and supervisory teams were respectful of guests’ preferences while also demonstrating a commendable commitment to sustainable hospitality practices. Room amenities varied depending on the category selected, offering options to suit different preferences. The dining experience was equally impressive. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner featured an extensive spread, with beautifully presented dishes offering excellent variety, colour, and flavour. The selection catered thoughtfully to European, Asian, and Sri Lankan palates. We had the opportunity to speak with the restaurant’s floor management team and gained a real appreciation for the effort they put into sourcing fresh local ingredients. Their attention to detail enriched the entire dining experience. A particularly reassuring feature was the presence of two former Navy lifeguards stationed on the beach, carefully watching over guests enjoying the waves. Their professionalism gave us confidence before venturing into the water ourselves. Like many hotels, the resort has faced challenges due to the reduction in tourist numbers following recent unforeseen events in the Middle East. Despite this, the team clearly values every guest who chooses to visit and experience their warm hospitality. After evaluating both their excellent facilities and outstanding service, we have decided to use their business and conference facilities to organise a medical conference. Its convenient location—not too far from Colombo—combined with its beautiful beachfront setting and the professionalism of its polite, responsive staff, makes it an ideal venue for both leisure and professional events.

Everyone working here is lovely, they make you feel very welcome. The food is lovely, including some Sri Lankan choices! The rooms are kept so clean, as is the rest of the hotel. It is peaceful here, too, and so beautiful.
