Century Park Hotel

A very busy hotel in town. Good breakfast serving both European and local. Comfortable rooms. Evening meals at hotel is a little pricey for the buffet but at least you get to choose.

Large modern hotel, very clean and extremely welcoming staff. Good sized well appointed bedrooms, our bathroom had both a bath and separate shower whilst friends only had a bath with handheld shower over. TV is old and small compared to today’s standards. Room does lack electrical sockets for charging phones etc. Very good choice of food at breakfast and dinner, drinks are expensive as are all hotels. Lobby bar closes early evening whilst the sports bar of floor two closes at 11.00pm.

We booked this hotel through a British Airways package. Not our usual area we stay in Bangkok but after a couple of days we were familiar with area. It is close walking distance to Victory Monument BST and also Ratchaprarop for the airport train. We had an upgraded room which probably larger than a standard room. This was spacious. Traditional oak type furniture throughout. The bathroom had a bath and separate shower. Tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge although the contents were on a charged basis. There was a large cloak room for storage of bags and clothing. Breakfast in the main restaurant was nice, plenty of options for all tastes. Minor comment, we like fresh English breakfast tea in the morning, in the breakfast restaurant the tea came in a tea urn which was not necessarily fresh. The pool, spa and gym were in a nice setting, although the pool itself was one major disappointment in the hotel and I believe is letting its guests down. During our stay outside temps reached the low 30's and one would like to swim. I tested the water out each day we relaxed around the pool and the water was disappointingly cold on each occasion, even the jacuzzi spa. Of course this may be down to the pool not being heated but the pool area is overshadowed by an apartment building that completely blocks the sun from warming the water temperature. Also there were very little areas on the pool deck that captured the sun as were mainly in the shade of said apartment building. I never saw one person swimming in the pool during our stay. Given the disappointment of the pool, it was still a comfortable stay at the hotel. I would say by Bangkok standards it is a 4 star as listed. The hotel lobby on first entering gives some appearance of being higher standard. I don't think we would stay there again, mainly based on our experience of the pool temperature. A pool is one of the main features we look at when we travel to Bangkok, although we are out and about exploring like to chill out in and around a nice pool, although size isn't important it should be at a comfortable temperature. Sadly that lets the hotel down.

Early December 2025, we stayed at this beautiful hotel in a perfect location. We have always stayed here during out visits to Bangkok. Everything is of high standard, excellent service provided by staff, rooms are spacious, delicious breakfast with good options to suit all. Our very special thanks to Sangsuree see (photo) she is a true asset in your team and it always feels home to see familiar and friendly faces. Also on our previous visit in 2024, when I was kindly looked after by Sangsuree & staff during my shoulder injury needing surgery from a fall on Dec 29 2024. We truly appreciated your care and hospitality at that time and it’s the reason guests leave happy and come back again. Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to her– she made our stay perfect! Not a lot to say about the hotel in that it was perfectly adequate for a short stay in Bangkok. The hotel and rooms were clean. The food was fine and the staff were approachable, helpful and friendly. That said, BE WARNED. I would steer well clear of the kiosk outside of the hotel entrance. They charge exorbitant prices and are con merchants. I was charged 800 baht to go to a specific sky bar one evening. As I didn’t know how far away our hotel was from the sky bar, I paid it. However, our return journey by local taxi was only 87 baht. I raised this with staff at the hotel reception and i was informed that the kiosk was independent of the hotel. Irrespective, the staff were brilliant and they negotiated a substantial rebate.
