Oriental Residence Bangkok

Mine and Jee are excellent!! !!!!

Within moments of my arrival, the staff at the Oriental Residence made me feel welcomed and cared for — a wonderful start to a place I would call home for nearly four full weeks. The hotel itself is set in the middle of a tropical paradise (palms, flowering trees, and tranquil ponds), yet it is just minutes on foot to Lumphini Park, Sukhumvit, and the Phloen Chit BTS station. My room, a junior suite (with prestige club access), is literally the smallest room offered; however, it is perfect. The king bed and fluffy soft bedding couldn’t be more comfortable. I have a sofa, a round dining table, a 3/4 kitchen, a generous walk-through closet, and a luxurious bath with marble floors (and both a shower and deep tub). Everyone who works there knew me by name within the first 2 days. The front desk staff has been incredibly accommodating to my every request and so helpful in booking massages, etc. (Thank you, Mill and Singsing!! You have both always so kind). Now, to end my review, I would like to acknowledge the staff in the executive lounge (Kiran, me in carrying things up to my room. I would particularly like to acknowledge the staff in the executive lounge (Kiran, Print, and Beer) who have repeatedly welcomed me to afternoon tea as well as evening cocktails and appetizers. They provided excellent and personalized service. They remembered my name, the wine that I like, and have even updated me on requests I’ve made to the front desk staff. A brief shout out to the folks who work in the restaurant at breakfast; you are always attentive and make a fabulous latte! I feel completely at home here, thanks to the kind and excellent staff at the Oriental Residence!! My thanks and appreciation to all!! I would highly recommend this hotel to both short and long-stay guests.
