Mandarava Resort & Spa

Beautify property nestled in what feels like a rain forest/botanical garden.. spacious rooms and fairly priced.. However… the hotel is built into a mountain side, it is practically impossible to get around the property by foot.. Unless you are a mountaineer and don’t mind climbing mountains in 90-100 degree weather with 80%+ humidity.. While they provide shuttles to get around, which are plentiful and quick to arrive, having to call for a shuttle each time you want to go to the lobby, breakfast, pool, or if you forgot something in the room becomes tiring after a few times, especially if you are at the pool with no way to call for a shuttle.. The bigger problem though is, we paid for the private pool, however, having a pool in a forest, is a recipe for disaster.. sitting for just 15-20 minutes at the pool, we already each had at least 20 mosquito bites.. The whole private pool concept goes out the window if one cannot actually use it.. The bed wasn’t comfortable either, mattress, pillows, duvet, towels, everything was sub-standard for what one would expect for a supposed 5 star resort. The pool umbrellas, were just a tad bigger than the ones you get in a mai tai drink, never have I seen smaller shade umbrellas, So, sitting at the large pool which isn’t mosquito infested, wasn’t an option either, unless one likes the lobster look. So, in theory, could’ve been awesome, in reality, a few days of misery..

Excellent massage of Milky and Air

Everything was better than I expected. Very good breakfast, different fruits, good coffee, Asia corner , very good cleaning service in the room, every day perfect. Calm atmosphere , friendly staff. Hotel like in jungle, the best in Karon , because everywhere noisy and only here relax and nature. Thank you Mandarava team, are the best! @kriistii.fly , hugs.

Beautiful green, lush villa-style setup with such a relaxing atmosphere. There are multiple pools throughout the property near each cluster of villas/rooms, making it feel peaceful and never overcrowded. The swim-up bars are a huge plus, with the option to order both food and drinks while enjoying the pool. The breakfast buffet is excellent and offers just about everything you could want.. omelets made to order, Thai cuisine, French toast, pancakes, fresh fruit, oatmeal, yogurts, sushi, and even a build-your-own ramen bowl station. I’ve stayed here twice now and continue to be a very happy guest. The location is great and just a short walk around the corner to Karon Beach. The hotel also offers daily shuttles to Patong, the heart of Karon, and local night markets. Even with everything nearby, the resort itself feels calm, relaxing, and truly lives up to its spa-like atmosphere. There are also two restaurants on-site along with a spa offering wonderful massages. I highly recommend this resort if you’re looking for great value without breaking the bank. Lastly, all of the staff are so gracious, friendly, and genuinely wonderful people.
