ROBINSON KHAO LAK

My family and I live this hotel, I hope to come again next year. The staff at the hotel are very very nice, thank you. The food at the hotel is super tasty we lived it. Family David

This is our second stay here and had a fantastic time. The hotel is in huge grounds which are beautifully kept. It is set a beautiful white beach which is clean and large. The rooms and villas are set in beautiful grounds with 6 swimming pools and further water features. To get to the entrance of the hotel there is a large drive with further grounds incorporating well kept tennis, paddle basket ball and. Beach volleyball courts, Archery grounds etc. it alsoi includes a huge lake. The grounds have beautiful plants and a great opportunity to see wildlife -butterflies, frogs, water monitors, sunbirds, black swans and the cutest squirrels( fun to watch but best not feed as they can bite) We have stayed in family shared room and this year had a lovely surprise of being upgraded to a pool villa room. Both rooms are lovely. The interconnecting room is perfect for a family with 3 kids,as they are older the 2 pool villas also worked well. The pool villa is really spacious with a huge comfortable bed and good air conditioning. A full length mirror and a blind by toilet in bathroom would be appreciated, but otherwise great. It is a large hotel and our villa was right on the far side.It was 7 mins walk to the main dining area -: although there is the option of calling a golf buggy if needed. We didn't mind walk as so pretty, but maybe the hotel could consider a more direct path to the outer villas ( especially as high tide makes a short cut along the beach harder. The house keeping in rooms is great with lovely evening messages written in leaves- nice touch. The food is amazing! As we were in a pool villa we also got use of the terrace restaurant for breakfast with views across the sea. The main restaurant though is great too. You can sit inside, an airy restaurant,neighbor without air conditioning or outside. The food choice is extensive with combination of buffet self service and 5-6 stations where food prepared and served. There is always thai food, and added theme. Also always a pasta, pizza, nuggets section too. There is a lot of awareness of dietary requirements too. Wine, beer, soft drinks and water supplied with meals ( and water in room) means that if you go full board you really don't need to be paying anything extra unless drinks at bar after dinner. There is evening shows/;quiz/live every evening with opportunities for dancing. Music stops at midnight. If in the closet rooms this may be an issue, but last year when quite close to bar, we didn't really hear it. The hotel has a permanent entertainment team and have others come in rotation with their families providing extra bands, and fitness activities. You can be as active or lazy as you wish. You can do Zumba or yoga god on the outdoor pavilion looking out to sea or more hard core fitness classes in the well equiped fitness room. There are gyms too. Paddle boards and kayaks are free to use - occasional jellyfish sting m we used most days, sometimes too rough. Also pickleball, tennis, Archery etc included too. With multiple pools you can be in a busy fun area or retreat to a very peaceful setting I loved the Zumba in all forms and the aquafit - thank you Nikki and Nadine. Although a German hotel,there is a wide range of countries represented meaning English also widely spoken. There is a good range of ages and the large teenage group was appreciated by our family. There is a teenage club which they used more last year. This year they Just found activities as a group - dipping in and out if ok organized activities eg water polo, evening tennis. The leader was very flexible.For a large hotel we find it very friendly with good attention to detail. It is the lowest season when we have been,and was only Just over half full when we Left, but felt still a lot of space for when it is busier. We were so lucky with weather. 2 afternoons of thunder storms intermittently and spike meals taken inside. Very heavy rain that settles quickly. It is variable and we had a few more rainy days last Year. I believe the 3 days before we arrived had heavy rain throughout. It is a chance, but certainly wouldn't put us off Thoroughly recommended hotel.

Totally in love with this hotel and it's unique situation on a near deserted Pak Weep beach. We chose a room with a private pool and it didn't disappoint. There were several beach bars dotted along the coast where we had some fabulous lunches, special shout out to the Rocks Bar for their service, friendliness and fantastic food. The breakfast for the pool villa rooms was also fabulous, the views from the restaurant were to die for and the setvice was on point. We also experienced the Japanese Tepanyaki restaurant which was a fabulous evening with beautifully curated quisine.The hotel is about a 15 minute taxi ride to Khao Lak Town and the hotel provides a shuttle (for a fee) there is plenty to do and see around the area, mostly a short taxi ride away. This hotel is not in the centre of Khao Lak which suited us but may not suit people looking for nightlife. The entertainment in the hotel was OK, it started a bit too late for us and was a bit hit and miss, this was just our taste of course. The outdoor buffet nights were fantastic, especially the Songran festival which was exceptionally good. Overall the staff are what makes this place tick, nothing was too much trouble from reception to housekeeping everyone had a beautiful smile and welcoming attitude, we will definitely be returning.

Wow wow wow this is the gold standard hotel it has it all great big massive rooms from villas to a standard room they are outstanding. We stayed in a villa with a private swimming pool attached. This hotel is so good so big so doesn't feel crowded environment is clean, staff and people are friendly and helpful. All staff go above and beyond to make you feel special. . Food amazing romantic great price. Due to this hotel being so good we are going again Sept 2026.

This is our second visit to Robinson Khao Lak. We stayed in a Superior Pool Villa on a full board package. The resort has a very authentic and relaxed atmosphere. The way the resort is configured allows a sense of privacy particular the pool villas area. The staff are amazing - friendly, attentive, helpful. We could not have asked for better service. The villa in which we stayed was spacious and well resourced while the food was truly outstanding. While 10 minute drive from Khao Lak there is a shuttle that goes to both the Bang Niang Market where one can easily fill in the afternoon or early evening and the local town. We shall definitely be returning for a third stay and would have no hesitation in recommending this as a fantastic place to relax, unwind and eat delicious food.
