The Leaf Oceanside by Katathani

Good hotel, good location. Rooms are spacious/clean although balconies on upper level are quite small and feel closed off. Beds are comfortable and water available in the room. Towels provided for pool. Food and drink selection is good including breakfast. Items are charged to your room to pay on checkout. Staff are great, language barrier is overcome by using translate apps and there is one member of staff Amm who spoke great English. Location is close to the centre, 5 mins walk up hill to shops and bars. Beach is across the road, no beds provided but close enough and it’s a nice sandy beach. Pool is great, always bed available- there are signs advising not to reserve longer than 1 hour but didn’t see towels removed. Smoking is allowed one side of the pool. Staff bring drinks to you if ordered at the bar. Laundrette available on site 50 baht. Service charge is included with everything you buy- personally not a fan of this as would prefer to know the tips are going direct to the staff. This wasn’t included in any other hotels we stayed at on our trip. The lady in reception books trips which is great however I do not think a hotel which prides itself on sustainability etc should be offering a trip to see tigers who are drugged. I found this very distasteful. We did use the ladies services to go to the turtle sanctuary and temple which was great.

I had a wonderful experience at Leaf Oceanside Khao Lak. It’s a place where everything just clicks! ​Exceptional Food: The breakfast was absolutely delicious with plenty of variety. I have to highlight the chefs and the waiting staff—they are true masters of their craft! They were incredibly professional and made every meal a pleasure. ​Perfect Location: The hotel is located very close to the beach, which is a huge plus for anyone looking to enjoy the sea and beautiful sunsets. ​Comfort & Hygiene: I was impressed by how spotlessly clean everything was. Also, the beds are incredibly comfortable, which made a big difference in the quality of my rest. ​Atmosphere: The vibe is very friendly and welcoming. You can feel that the staff genuinely cares about the guests. ​I highly recommend Leaf Oceanside to anyone visiting Khao Lak! Thank you amazing people's!

Great hotel, very clean, pool is good and lovely wildlife around. Rooms are very big, comfortable bed and the cleaners do a great job. Nice breakfast, good eggs & fruit. We loved the t-pots. Great drinks by the pool. We had lunch and dinner out but did grab a pizza at the hotel one day and it was delicious Fantastic massage at the hotel. Very friendly staff, thank you to Lek and Jerry, all reception staff are kind. Lek will book taxis and trips Walk out of the hotel and turn left, great massage and please visit Smile restaurant, delicious food!! O bar is good to but we LOVED Smile!! Qcumber was great for lunch - main strip The Gold Elephant is great too - main strip Go to the market, Lek will arrange a taxi, go to the bag shop with the red floor. AMAZING bags, great price no need to haggle. See the Thai boxing, fantastic night out- Lek will arrange Elephants, bamboo rafting and Similan islands fantastic trips We are so sad to not be in Thailand, we have the holiday blues We hope to return and would 100% stay here again Thank you 🇹🇭

Lovely hotel, all staff excellent, pay for a better room if possible as putrid smell at the front of the hotel rooms due to the stagnant water, we had a garden room which was nice, old noisy aircon but still needed, breakfast fine managed to get something to eat but not a lot of choice but how much can you eat in the morning anyway. Lovely wildlife in the grounds. Near to beach and short walk to man strip, We prefer Krabi as more to do, no longtail boats in this area. But hotel adequate not 4* but definately a 3

Perfect stay, clean rooms albeit slightly dated, very cosy resort. Good service and breakfast. Could do with some blackout in the ground floor rooms. Not good for swimming, perfect to find your own location with the sunbeds
