I’ve only just got back from my holiday stay, and while it’s still fresh in my mind, I thought I would share my experience. I’m giving this hotel a low rating overall, and I hope management takes this as constructive feedback to improve. We arrived at the hotel at 1am as a family of 16, including elderly people and children. There was only one person working behind the desk checking guests in. As you can imagine, we had a lot of luggage. I’ve never stayed at a 5-star hotel where there was no help offered with luggage. I actually had to ask for assistance, and the same staff member who was checking us in had to help bring the luggage through, which obviously delayed the whole check-in process. It felt very understaffed and like the hotel was trying to cut costs. Even the hotel was very dark when we arrived. What made it worse is that the hotel knew large groups were arriving, as other families checked in shortly after us. I asked about food and was told we had missed the late dinner, which ended at 1am, and that we would need to order room service. That itself wasn’t the issue — I understand it was late and didn’t expect full service at that time. The real issue was that the internet wasn’t working, which, by the way, didn’t get fixed for another three days. The menu could only be accessed through a QR code, so without WiFi we couldn’t even see what food was available. Nothing was explained properly either. I didn’t know what number to call for room service and tried the obvious options like 0 and 9 with no success. We also had diabetic family members who needed food. At that point I was exhausted and frustrated. I eventually asked to speak to a manager and explained that if dinner had ended, how was I supposed to order food when the internet was down and there was no information provided? In the end, they gave us sandwiches and fries free of charge, which I did appreciate, and the manager recognised the situation was the hotel’s fault. I will say that the staff generally did try their best to be helpful throughout our stay. The food overall was decent, although the desserts could definitely be improved as it was mostly the same dry cakes every day. Room cleaning could also improve. You often had to double-check whether the rooms had actually been cleaned properly, which made it feel like it was done very quickly with only a basic touch-up. There was no iron in the room, and when we asked for one we were told there would be a service charge. I’ve never experienced that at a 5-star hotel before. I also requested a wheelchair and again was told there would be a charge, which again is not something I’ve experienced at other 5-star hotels. I’m not the type of person to complain, and I don’t expect every hotel to be perfect — every place has pros and cons. But in my opinion, this is not a 5-star hotel. I’ve stayed in better 4-star hotels.
The hotel is very good, staff very friendly and welcoming. Second time here and would come again. Kids really loved the foam party.
Writing this review whilst sat around the pool on our final day. 2 adults 5 children £8k • not a 5 star hotel ❌ On arrival noted that both rooms only included 1 double and 1 single. On asking where the other bed was we were told this is how the rooms are, had to ask twice for an additional bed to be brought to the room. ❌ food is repetitive and not a lot of choice/variety ❌ stairwells are filled with beds, mattresses, left over food & drinks ✅ 10 mins walk to land of legends ✅ cocktails are tasty ✅ just enough slides for the kids (open 10-12 and 2-4) ~ very slippy around pool ~ will be pestered to book massage ~ be prepared to pay room deposit on arrival ~ cattle market at evening meal, had to clear table myself on a couple of occasions Overall, not a bad experience, but not outstanding either. Would rate 4 star max.
Let me first start that this hotel.is nowhere near 5 Star hotel. We came as family of 4 at night and room was prepared for 3 people. It took additional.hour (we arrived at 23:30) to set up another bed and still there was no blanket for my daughter. I had asked for the blanket for at least 2 times more and we finally got one next morning. Dont start me on the food as it was simply crap. Kids buffet was always empty, like every day. I had to ask for waffles to be made for at least 3 days (even though there is signs saying waffle station). Animation team is not existant there was only 2 darts games all day. Kids animation ladies were actually good as they tried their best every day. Most of the staff is extremelly rude too. Would never/ever return here. Kids pool has rust inside, main pool had mold.
Good clean hotel friendly Staff are nice
