Calido Maris Hotel

Our stay at Calido Maris Hotel has come to an end, and we left with wonderful memories. We truly enjoyed every moment and will remember this holiday with a smile. The greatest strength of this hotel is its people. Every member of the staff was kind, friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. They worked hard every day to make guests feel comfortable and enjoy their holiday, and we are very grateful for their dedication. These holidays were also special because of the amazing people we met. We were happy to meet so many wonderful Polish guests, and the time we spent together made our vacation even more enjoyable. We also met many kind Turkish people whose hospitality, warmth, and friendliness left a lasting impression on us. We would also like to give a special recommendation to VITAMIN BAR & ROLL ICE CREAM. The delicious ice cream and the freshly prepared alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails were among the highlights of our stay. Everything was made with care, looked amazing, and tasted fantastic. The friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere made every visit a real pleasure. The hotel is clean, well maintained, and has a pleasant atmosphere. I would not recommend staying at Calido Maris Hotel. Our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The customer service was very poor. Staff were unhelpful, dismissive, and made us feel like our concerns did not matter. When I reported that my daughter’s 9-carat gold chain had gone missing from the room safe, I expected the hotel to take the matter seriously. Instead, I felt brushed off, received very little communication, and saw no evidence of a thorough internal investigation. I had to report the matter to the Turkish police because I did not feel the hotel was handling such a serious incident appropriately. Housekeeping was also unacceptable. Our room was often not cleaned properly, fresh towels were not replaced regularly, and the overall standard of cleanliness was poor throughout our stay. The most upsetting part was that the jewellery disappeared from the room safe while our passports and iPad remained inside. This completely ruined our holiday and caused my family a great deal of stress and upset. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the lack of care, poor customer service, inadequate housekeeping, and the way the hotel handled such a serious incident. I expected professionalism, support, and a proper investigation, but unfortunately, I received none of those. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will never stay here again.

Definitely not a five-star hotel – an awful and unhygienic experience Calido Maris was one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in, and it bears very little resemblance to the attractive impression created by its promotional photographs. The biggest problem was the unbearable sewage and toilet smell in our room. Instead of being able to relax, we regularly had to tolerate the room smelling like a drain. This is completely unacceptable in any hotel, let alone one advertised as five-star. The hygiene standards in the public toilets were even worse. Water mixed with urine was flooding the floors of the public toilets throughout the hotel. The toilets were clearly not being cleaned frequently or adequately, and walking through liquid around the toilets was disgusting and potentially hazardous. This was not an isolated incident—it was a recurring problem during our stay. Communication with staff was also extremely difficult because very few employees could speak or understand even basic English. At an international resort marketed to foreign tourists, guests should be able to communicate about simple matters such as food, maintenance problems, opening hours and complaints. Instead, we were frequently unable to explain problems or obtain clear answers. The pool area was overcrowded, with nowhere near enough sunbeds for the number of guests. Unless you reserved beds extremely early, there was little chance of finding anywhere for a family to sit. A hotel of this size should provide adequate facilities for its capacity rather than accepting more guests than it can comfortably accommodate. The so-called “all-inclusive” offering was also misleading. Several advertised bars were not open during the hours guests would reasonably expect. They opened late, closed early or provided only a very limited service. You pay for an all-inclusive holiday but cannot reliably use the facilities that supposedly form part of the package. The restaurant and snack-bar experience was chaotic and felt more like an overcrowded canteen than a five-star resort. The food was repetitive and much of it was unappealing. Whenever one of the more popular or reasonably edible dishes was available, it ran out very quickly and was often not replenished. The same problem occurred at the snack bars, where the few items people actually wanted regularly became unavailable. Guests were left with very limited and poor-quality alternatives. There were long queues, tables were difficult to find at busy times, and the overall standard of service and organisation was nowhere near what the hotel’s rating and advertising suggest. The hotel is also isolated, so there is very little within walking distance. Once you arrive, you are largely dependent on the hotel or have to pay for taxis to go anywhere else. The building and swimming pools may look impressive in carefully selected photographs, but appearances do not compensate for sewage-smelling rooms, urine-contaminated toilet floors, inadequate cleaning, overcrowding, insufficient sunbeds, food shortages, restricted all-inclusive services and poor communication. We spent a substantial amount of money expecting a relaxing five-star family holiday. Instead, we were left feeling disappointed, uncomfortable and misled. I would not return, and I cannot recommend Calido Maris. There are much better-managed hotels in Turkey offering genuinely clean facilities and genuinely five-star service. One star is generous.

Wonderful hotel. We had a fantastic stay - myself, my husband and 3 kids (9,7,4). Lots for kids to do, hotel was spotless and modern, food lovely and staff were absolutely fantastic! Special thanks to Tito, Ferhat, Muhammat, Aleyna and all the entertainment staff - fantastic people. We will definitely be back!

We stayed for 11 days at this Hotel We had a great time but personally for me SONER and his team were my highlight. They were great people and went the extra mile to keep us happy. They take time and they take pride in their jobs. The hospitality from these guys was amazing. I feel like SONER is my brother. Anyone that comes here needs to meet him. He has the cocktail bar by the pool. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Thank you SONER and team
