Club Sun Heaven

Very disappointing – nowhere near 5-star We are currently staying at this hotel and, unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing. We booked this hotel expecting a 5-star family resort. When we booked, we were expecting a proper children’s pool with slides and a splash zone. The hotel has since changed its name and the facilities we were expecting are no longer available. This is particularly frustrating when these facilities were an important reason for choosing the hotel. The children’s facilities that are available are also very disappointing. The main playground is located in one of the hottest, most exposed areas of the resort. Even at 9am it is already in full sun. The equipment is plastic, meaning the slides become extremely hot, and there is absolutely no shade or comfortable place for parents to sit while supervising their children. There is another small playground near the pool, but it is outdated and poorly maintained. Several seesaws are missing parts and the slide has a crack. Again, because everything is plastic and exposed to the sun, it becomes far too hot to use after a certain time. The entertainment programme is another major issue. The schedule does not seem reliable. The guest relations programme advertised a children’s disco at 8pm. With dinner not really being convenient until around 7pm, 8pm would have been perfect for families. Instead, at 8pm there was an animation film and the actual children’s disco was at 9pm. Other activities also seem to change. For example, Aqua Bike was taking place at 3pm when the schedule indicated a trampoline activity. Karaoke is only one hour. It all feels disorganised and poorly communicated. The attitude of some of the staff has also been very disappointing. One of the bartenders in the main dining area is particularly rude, pours very small drinks and has a consistently bad attitude. The reception team have also been unwelcoming. The children’s club and animation team are another concern. The staff often come across as though children are an inconvenience rather than their priority. I personally would not feel comfortable leaving my child with them, which completely defeats the purpose of having a children’s club at a family resort. Communication is also a serious problem. Very few members of staff speak English, including in areas where you would expect to be able to communicate easily with guests. At a supposedly 5-star international resort, basic communication should not be this difficult. Even simple questions or requests can become unnecessarily frustrating. For us, this alone is a significant failure in service. The food is okay, but certainly not what we would expect from a 5-star hotel. There is usually one thing that is nice, but the rest is very average. They had some amazing prawns, but unfortunately they were massively overcooked and had almost no seasoning, herbs or flavour. The mussels were huge, but the actual centre was stuffed with rice, which we found very unpleasant. There are some positives. The hammam is lovely and we had a great massage. The cleaners are doing a good job and our room has been well looked after. We also really like the large water slide in the pool opposite our room. The sea is also quite dirty, so be aware of this if you are booking primarily for the beach. We knew this hotel was not going to be the best luxury resort available. However, we travelled during peak season when prices were extremely high, and this was the best option we could afford. We still spent thousands on this holiday. We saved for this holiday. We worked for this holiday. We should not have to feel like we are inconveniencing staff simply by expecting decent facilities, organised children’s entertainment and basic friendly service. The hotel calls itself 5-star. Based on our experience, I would rate it closer to 3-star. My advice: come here expecting a 3-star hotel and you may actually enjoy it. But if you are booking because you expect a 5-star family resort, manage your expectations very carefully.

This place should be called Sun Hell Hotel. From the second I walked in, it was a complete disaster. The receptionist was the rudest human I've ever encountered – barely looked up from her phone, snapped at me when I asked about check-in, and acted like I was bothering her by existing. Zero professionalism, zero smile, just pure attitude. She "lost" my booking confirmation for 20 minutes while I stood there exhausted. Absolute joke. But the beach access was the final insult. The so-called "private beach" was a rocky. Loud noise, trash everywhere, Sun loungers were broken or claimed by 6am by aggressive guests. No staff help, no maintenance – just disappointment. This was my worst hotel experience ever. Overpriced, disgusting, and run by people who clearly hate their jobs and guests. Never again. Save your money and go anywhere else. 0/10, do not recommend. I stayed at this hotel in Turkey and unfortunately I cannot recommend it at all. The food was very poor – both in taste and variety. Most dishes were bland, often served cold or overcooked, and the overall quality was disappointing for an all-inclusive resort. What’s more, the beer was served in tiny 150 ml paper cups – this has to be one of the worst sins in the all-inclusive world. It felt cheap and ridiculous, especially when you had to go back every few minutes for a refill. The restaurant area was also quite dirty. Dirty plates and cutlery were left lying on tables for long periods of time, which created a very unhygienic impression. WiFi barely worked in the rooms. The signal was almost non-existent – you could only connect properly in the lobby or near the pool, and even there it was very weak and unstable. The biggest issue was the noise. Loud music from the main entertainment stage blasted across the resort and penetrated straight into the rooms, even with windows and balcony doors closed. It was impossible to sleep at night – the music went on until late and was extremely loud. Earplugs didn’t help much. Overall, I was very disappointed with this hotel. Between the bad food, tiny paper cups for beer, lack of cleanliness, non-working WiFi, and unbearable noise at night, it ruined what should have been a relaxing holiday. I do not recommend this hotel!
