Just got back from a 7 night stay with my family. With the exception of one or two people the hotel staff were lovely and so helpful, unfortunately a lot of them couldn’t understand English very well. The food was lovely and very tasty although could be better with a bit more selection for the English. Our room was cleaned daily and all the public areas were spotless. The hotel is in a great location with plenty of bars and shops nearby and Cleopatra beach just across the road through a lovely park. After reading previous reviews I was a bit worried about staying here but we all really enjoyed it . There are also a few negatives I think should be addressed in order to increase the enjoyment … there are only limited drinks included in the all inclusive package. No bottled water is available before 10am it is padlocked away in the fridges . Also there are no cocktails included either although if you wanted one it would cost you around £10 to £14 each! It states on the website that the pool bar is open from 8am to 6pm but wasn’t open at all during our stay and even the fridge in this area with bottled water was padlocked closed. Limited snacks and ice cream was available from 3pm til 4.30 but were padlocked again at 4.30 sharp. We booked 2 single rooms and a family room (3people) but all rooms were exactly the same size so we hardly had any room in the family room. Breakfast is from 6.30am but there is no one to cook eggs/omeletes til 7.30 prompt (the chefs were seen eating breakfast in the back! As the majority of breakfast was continental we struggled for breakfast we liked, without having eggs e.g toast and jam etc. If you are wanting entertainment then this isn’t the place for you (there was an organist on the Thursday and a violinist on the Monday that was it, but us as a family were quite happy sat outside the lobby bar chatting in the lovely surroundings. We read reviews saying that the staff were all for the other guests not the English but it was the other countries guests who were rude and arrogant not the staff who were lovely. This hotel is small and quiet so personally I dont think it would be suitable for younger families. A couple of pictures on the site are a little misleading as it clearly shows a slide into the pool on one but there is no slide and not even any proof that there ever was one . We went to the beach for the day and got 5 sunbeds 2 umbrellas which set us back 17 euros but not only that we found out that the beach bar wasn’t free to us even though we were all inclusive but to be fair this isn’t the hotels doing as all bars and all sunbeds are payable on Cleopatra Beach. I think that the hotel should say this when booking. Our stay was really enjoyable and we were happy with hotel and location but wouldn’t return. Thank you
Location is quite but lovely. very little English spoken mainly German guests who take over the hotel ! Rooms were very clean fresh water given everyday and beds changed . If your a picky eater this hotel isnt for you at all . Beach is lovely with free towels and sun beds over all the hotel it's self is beautiful but wouldnt vist again
We had a wonderful vacation at Gardenia. I recommend it to anyone who wants to spend their vacation in a beautiful place, surrounded by lush vegetation and an incredibly pleasant atmosphere. The service is very friendly and helpful, the waiters are attentive, the food is incredibly delicious, and the chefs constantly monitor the restaurant. Every day a variety of food. There was no problem preparing food boxes when we went on a trip. The views from the hotel restaurant were wonderful. There's nothing to complain about. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
Really great hotel in a very good location opposite the beach , promenade and the pretty parks and fountains. Not far from the cable cars and caves a 5 minute walk will get you there. The food is very good with plenty of variety , good choice of meats and fish each lunch time and dinner , pasta ,rice and lots of fresh salads and fruits. The dessert table is fab and there are even ice creams and snacks in the afternoon, you will not go hungry. What made this hotel such a good place for our holiday apart from location and food are the excellent staff , they are a credit to the hotel with their friendliness, appearance and the attention they give everyone, a big shout out to Can in the dining room , what a pleasant young man . Rooms were spotless and the cleaning team always friendly and they do a great job , towels and bedding changed regularly. We would definitely stay here again , although we didn't use the pool it did look inviting , maybe next time.
Just got back from a 7 night stay with my family, we got there late due to plane issues but check in was quick & as we missed the dinner service they had prepared 4 lunch boxes for us containing a sandwich, drink, muffin & pear which was very welcome as we were hungry. However the hotel location is excellent with proximity to lots of other places to eat in all directions so there is plenty of choice available. Overall the food at both breakfast & dinner was lovely & very tasty, my adult children loved the variety & each day we were able to try different foods, the only grumble is that the Turkish palate is not very hot spicy but we still managed to stuff ourselves each day. They also allowed me to fill my bottle from the juice machine with no issues as I know some hotels can be funny about this. The restaurant is on the 6th floor & offers stunning views which we loved We booked 2 double rooms which were cleaned on a daily basis & very comfortable, we all slept very well & had no issues with the air con or any of the facilities, we had to tip the cleaning lady as she was friendly and provided us with extra towels & water whenever we asked. There were some other English guests there but the majority were Russians & Germans who very pleasant and always said morning so you politely reply back in they own language as a common courtesy. The pool is small but we always found space and everyone was really nice while we relaxed under the sun. Cleopatra beach is literally across the road through a lovely park, as cat lovers we spent ages getting to the actual beach as my daughter wanted to stroke, play, feed and take pics of all the cats we saw on a daily basis. You are literally in the heart of the town with it's buzz but it weirdly not that noisy & quite serene at night so we were always going on walks near the beach & haggling with the shop vendors who we encountered. The highlight of the hotel for us was the Hamam which I booked for the whole family, this is found in the basement next to the free gym. Mustafa, Zainab & Rabia ensured we were all pampered & scrubbed until we were glowing the and 1hr massage at the end was just was soo good that I did not want to leave, defo and experience I will not forget Once again the hotel location is just perfect with the Alanya cable car is literally 5-10 mins walking away so we were able to take a ride to Alanya Castle & look around. Our stay was really enjoyable and we were happy with hotel & location & would return again
