Gardenia Beach Hotel

We like this hotel and this was our third stay there. The hotel is nice and small with lots of beautiful trees and flowers that are great for giving shade on hot days. The room was nice and spacious with quiet air condinioning and a lovely view on a swimming pool. There is a Turkish travel agency on the beach that I can recommend as we enjoyed the trips that were much cheaper than from the Czech travel agency. The music wasn´t disturbing, it was nice for reading or chatting. I love the dining area on the beach where you can sit under the trees and watch the sea and read a book. There is plenty of drinks and food everywhere. Kids loved local cats and everything was clean. The hotel has a nice volleyball court but unfortunately it wasn´t possible to turn on lights at night when the temperature was much better for playing. The two things that might be better are: I would appreciate the airconditioning in the restaurant as for me fans are not enough and the worse problem is the sea in the afternoon where tide brought small plastic pieces that were floating on the sea surface every afternoon. Hopefully in the mornings the sea was clean. The entrance to the sea isn´t easy for small kids or the elderly due to pebbles and the water is deep after a few meters. There were enough sunbeds for everyone on the beach. If you want to stay at the pool you have to be fast to get your sunbed. I must say that all the staff was very helpful and overally we really enjoyed our third stay there.

V hotelu Gardenia Beach jsme byli s rodinou již podruhé, s odstupem osmi let. Hotelový pokoj čistý, i když ne nejnovější, pokojová služba spolehlivá, obsluha v restauraci i na barech byla milá a ochotná. Jídlo bylo velmi dobré, vždy jsme měli z čeho vybrat. Jediné, co nás na celém pobytu mrzí, je, že se každý den kolem poledne zaneslo moře u břehu pruhem plným malých plastů, igelitových sáčků apod. Jelikož bylo jinak moře průzračné, je to obrovská škoda. Dospělý a dobrý plavec si mohl jít zaplavat dál, ale dítě u moře pak nikdy odpoledne být nechtělo, protože za pruhem plastů už v hloubce nestačilo. My family and I visited the Gardenia Beach Hotel for the second time, with an eight-year gap between visits. The room was clean, housekeeping was reliable, and the staff in the restaurant and at the bars were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent once again, with plenty of choices available. The only downside to our stay was that, around noon each day, a strip of debris—consisting of small pieces of plastic and plastic bags—would drift into the water near the shore. It was a real shame, given that the sea was otherwise crystal clear. While an adult or a strong swimmer could head further out to swim, a child wouldn't want to be by the water in the afternoon, as the water beyond that strip of plastic was too deep for them to stand.

Stayed for a week in June 26, myself & my husband with our teenagers (18,17 & 17). We had an interconnecting room, 1 with double bed & single bed, sofa & balcony & sliding lockable door into a double room, all AC, cleaned everyday with special touches. Very comfortable beds & good shower. 2 hr transfer from airport but worth it. (There was even a mini bar on the coach!) Very welcoming reception, they gave us cards to get fresh beach towels. A nice lady by the beach bar will give you clean ones in the mornings if you wish. No need to bring any. The hotel is on many levels with quite a few steps & slopes. It’s a quirky layout but once you find your bearings it’s fantastic! A large pool by the main restaurant, a quiet pool away from it all & a fun pool with slides, with a bar. No problem getting sunbeds, The beach bar is gorgeous, a huge area under the shade of trees with a huge stage where the evening entertainment was & next to the beach where sunbeds & parasols are free to guests & plenty of them. The sea was lovely my husband had a turtle swim up to him! The Animation team were exceptional. ‘Smiley’ was a star, even though we were the only British family in the hotel we were made to feel special. He was full of energy & life, aqua aerobics was great fun. Furkan & Charlie were brilliant too with the shows & darts etc. The cats are treated really well, a little hotel there for them & they were wandering everywhere. All in all a great experience. The clientele were mainly German but we found everyone to be so friendly, only downside was the entertainment was mainly in German but they tried their best to include us. So don’t be put off by this. A short walk from the hotel is the Grand Bazaar which was huge so plenty of choice to buy clothes & souvenirs. We booked a pirate ship cruise from the man on the beach & it was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had, absolutely worth €22 each! Currency is odd, they mainly like euro but you can pay in Lira, pounds & dollars too, they give you the correct exchange in the shops.

I would not recommend Gardenia Beach Hotel. This is not really an all-inclusive hotel. The in-room safe requires a paid key — €2 per day. The iron is also paid, and basically every little extra costs money. The food is average and quite repetitive. Breakfast is the worst: mostly bread and pastries. They do not know how to cook porridge properly, and the scrambled eggs are made with milk. The most disappointing part is the sea. It is dirty, with lots of small pieces of plastic, and the entrance into the water is very steep and uncomfortable. In short, for the same money, you can definitely find a much better option. The hotel is mainly German-oriented, so be prepared for all the entertainment programmes to be in German. For children, they sing the same five German songs every evening.
