Brilliant holiday so delicious food and drinks

February 2026 Although we didn't have high expectations, sadly I think the Rixos didn't meet them even so. The good bits: Friendly staff (most of them) who seemed to want to give good service Heated pool Views from the hotel rooms The Teppenyaki chef was amazing (the only good food we had at the hotel). The bad: The bedroom and public areas were roasting. We didn't know that the air con was centrally controlled and not switched on until April so we spent ages trying to get it to work until we called. They provided a portable air con unit which literally did nothing, and so we asked for fans. We had two and the bedroom was still unbearably hot, to the point where none of us slept well for the week. There is a general air of neglect and things not being done to a good standard. Toilets felt grubby with sticky doors, a broken glass was left on the terrace floor for a day with no one clearing it up, a vacuum was left abandoned in the hallway for a day, glasses and cutlery on tables were often not clean. Not awful things, but not a five star experience. The food was terrible. The same stuff every day, no variety. Lots of it looked unappetising (cheese and ham dried out and curling up at the edges, the Menemen was frequently left standing in it's dishes rather than being plated up freshly so it was all dried up at the edges). Again, just lack of care and attention. There was a lot of building work going on, which we didn't know about in advance. It made the stay very noisy, not relaxing at all. It also meant that the pool bar wasn't open and there was nowhere to get snacks from. Cats everywhere. Chairs, tables, sunbeds. There was constant cat fights, and you would come back to your sunbed and find a cat had curled up on your things and then didn't want to get down. We had a nice holiday but that was in spite of the hotel not because of it. I wouldn't return.

The main advantage of this hotel is its location. It is very close to the elevator that takes you directly down to the seaside promenade, where you can run, walk, or ride a bicycle. The promenade itself is beautiful and convenient for outdoor activities. Unfortunately, almost everything else was disappointing. The hotel feels quite old and seems not to have been renovated for a long time. The mattresses are worn out and do not provide proper back support, which made sleeping uncomfortable. The food selection is rather limited and lacks variety. In particular, the choice of fish, seafood, and meat is quite restricted, which is unexpected for a hotel of this level. Entertainment options are also limited. Discos are rare and only available for a short period of time. Karaoke happened only once during two weeks of my stay, and only after I personally requested it. To make matters worse, on the second-to-last day of my stay the hotel started a noisy and dusty renovation on my floor, which significantly affected the comfort of the stay. Overall, the location is excellent, but the hotel itself does not meet the expectations associated with the Rixos brand.

I stayed at this hotel expecting a relaxing break, but Unbearable renovations: doors removed, pipes cut, welding in halls. Dust & fumes everywhere. Management ignores complaints. The corridor was covered in thick dust and smoke from the welding; it seeped into my room, coating every surface and making the air impossible to breathe.
