We stayed at Rixos Downtown Antalya as a family of 5 - my husband and I, daughter, son-in-law and grandson aged 5. We had 2 rooms close together on the same floor with a side sea view. Location was very reasonable with a 25 min transfer from the airport and close to Antalya old town Beach was accessible by a short walk and elevator. We made use of the free bikes and rode down to the Aruba beach bar which was part of the hotel and had a lovely lunch. The hotel is very relaxed and has a chilled relaxed atmosphere. Staff are all very friendly, helpful and attentive. My daughter and son- in-law were on their honeymoon and guest relations provided complementary wine and fruit and next day breakfast to their room. Rooms were spacious and well kept by the housekeeping staff with mini bar top ups, fresh bedding and towels daily. Heated Pool and pool bar were great with a large tv screen All in all a wonderful week and would highly recommend
The good: The hotel is very nice with nice pools. Personally I’m not so fond of buffet and this is all inclusive. Alchohol, beer, soda etc is included. Especially the Philippinas are friendly. Milka is a bomb in energy - deserves a promotion! Kids club is amazing - perhaps pay a bit more attention to rude/spoiled kids so that they don’t take all the focus from more polite kids. I got a nice birthday surprise in the room - baloons, fruit and wine. The not so good: Other staff is not so friendly/talkative - it is 80% Russian tourists so many staff seem to be Russian too. The service level is not 5 star at all. When checking in it was a speed talker who seemed to want to get through the “script” as quickly as possible. They barely speak English. I would suggest a more social approach to guests - and more philippinas might be an idea. You need a taxi to do anything outside the hotel. Thanks for a nice overall stay - not coming back though.
Excellent hotel, beautiful surroundings. The staff are five star always available to help and quickly resolve any questions. Derry’s and Acar were excellent and even printed out our boarding passes.
Very nice and clean hotel, staff very friendly lots of things to do with the land of legends shuttles and lovely restaurant on site very much recommend the hotel
We were contacted by Rixos Guest Relations ahead of our holiday, which was a nice touch and made us feel welcome before arrival. **Transfers:** The hotel quoted €85 (approx. £74) one way from Antalya Airport, but we booked via Booking.com for £31 return, which was far better value. **Check-in:** On arrival, we expected assistance with luggage, as is standard for a 5* hotel, but this was missing and the security guard did not notify reception. However, we were warmly welcomed by Atilla at reception, who was friendly, efficient, and upgraded us to a sea-view room. Late-night dining options were also available, which was appreciated. **Room:** We stayed as a family of four in a comfort room (double bed + 2 sofa beds). The room was spacious and clean, though slightly dated in terms of furniture and carpets. One thing to note is that housekeeping is only done on request—you need to inform reception if you want daily cleaning and fresh towels. We arrived at 1:30am (despite booking from the 22nd), and the room was not fully ready. The air conditioning was not working properly and only blew warm air; Fatih kindly provided a fan, but we later heard from other guests that their A/C was working fine. The mini fridge also didn’t keep drinks cold. Slippers were provided, but not bathrobes, which we expected for a 5* hotel. **Land of Legends (LOL):** The hotel offers a shuttle service to Land of Legends—this must be booked by 8pm the day before. Transport runs roughly 10am–4pm (times may vary). Food inside the park is expensive—around 3500 for a family of four, even with a 25% discount (likely a Rixos perk). The dolphin show is highly recommended. Unfortunately, several rides were closed during our visit. **Facilities (Gym & Spa):** Rixos offers multiple daily fitness classes—I attended a CrossFit class which was excellent. The gym is well-equipped but some machine handles were sticky and could benefit from better cleaning. The spa is peaceful, with sauna, steam room, and a relaxation area. The hammam and massage are highly recommended. **Kids Club:** The Rixy Kids Club is fantastic, with friendly staff—special thanks to Mal. We raised a safety concern about the gate being left open, but this was resolved quickly by guest relations. **Food & Drinks:** The main restaurant offers a wide variety of food. Staff are friendly but service can be slow, and you often need to get their attention. Aras stood out for his attentiveness. * **Tropic Bar:** Great atmosphere, excellent wood-fired pizzas and cocktails. Thanks to Volkan for great service. * **Lobby Bar:** Omar was exceptional—friendly, hardworking, and engaging. * On-site Starbucks was also a great addition. As we stayed more than four days, we received complimentary bookings at Meat Terrace and Sense (seafood). Otherwise, à la carte restaurants come at an extra cost and must be booked via the Lumin app (reservations open at midnight). **Meat Terrace:** Great food but a limited menu. It would benefit from adding chicken and more traditional Turkish dishes. Recommended dishes: salmon, shrimp popcorn, lamb, and chocolate fondant. **Beach & Bars:** We loved Aruna Beach Bar—special thanks to Salumen and Mustafa. The beach is accessed via lift or steps and has a private Rixos section, though it is pebbled rather than sandy. **Entertainment & Activities:** There is plenty to do for all ages—basketball, football, table tennis, darts, bike hire, and evening live music (from 9:30pm). The hotel has three pools, including a heated one. **Local Area:** The hotel is in a great location for exploring both the city and beach. Recommended visits include Hadrian’s Gate, Old Town Bazaar, and Duden Waterfalls. Taxis are readily available outside the hotel, and reasonably priced. Uber can be used but cannot enter the hotel grounds. Additional Highlight: We also had a really fun photoshoot during our stay with Yusef and Serday. They were professional, friendly, and made the whole experience enjoyable for the whole family. The photos and video highlights turned out great and were a lovely keepsake from our holiday. **Overall:** Despite a few issues, we had a fantastic stay in Antalya. The hotel is well-located, with great facilities and plenty to do for families.
