Sun City Apartments & Hotel

Self Catering - we decided to do self catering based on the reviews previously and this was fine for us - however the facilities provided were shocking - one tiny saucepan to use. There was a kettle, toaster and 2 ring portable stove. No bowls for having cereal - we had to make use of a pasta bowl. One "sharp" knife that was as good as a butter knife - we did survive though. Rooms - we had a 2 bed apartment - was very nice and clean, lovely balcony and terrace - we were on the top floor though and no lift to use. Shower was good but needs to be sealed better as the water kept running out into the bathroom area. Water pressure and temp very good. Pools - all great and we didn't have to get up too early to secure sunbed - although some people still did it. The water slides were on 10-12 then 2-4 - we stayed 10 days and no lifeguard then on the last 3 days one appeared. He didn't speak a word of English so kids didn't understand what he was saying - he ended up closing them early because (after putting it in translate for me) - the kids were not complying with the rules - i do understand but considering most of them had already been there before him and anything went - they didn't know what was OK and was not - he was also taking pictures and videos of them to show the manager which i was less that impressed about - understand rules were not followed and once explained to the children, they understood and normal service was resumed. Location - 10 - 15min walk to the beach downhill - we preferred going to the main part rather than the part the hotel take you to as there was nothing there for self catering people - couldn't buy much, no shops etc. we stayed there 2 hours and got the bus back. If you go to near Alremu Beach restaurant - they cater for Sun City guests and let you use their sun loungers if you buy a drink and can arrange pick up - we also went near Linda's bar which did the same. highly recommend Side Old Town - we jumped on the Dolmus that takes you to the main station there and then from there its a 5-10 min walk to old town or you can jump on the land train that takes about 2 mins. Stunning sites. Green Canyon - phenomenal, beautiful. We booked online and was picked up and dropped off. Stunning! Hotel - Overall it was good, there was darts and water polo during the day. I do hate constantly being disturbed by the woman selling massages or the guy from the attoo place though. Some of us aren't people who want to join in and the animation team started to realise that but always said hello to us. If you are all inclusive, beware they cut your wristbands off you at 12pm check out and then you have to fend for yourself if you have a late pick up. I found the bar manager to be very rude. Was trying to say we weren't paying for something whilst literally standing there with money in hand to pay.

Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough, has great entertainment, beko and the entertainment Team are fantastic. Plenty of choice. 10/10 for me.

Went as a family of 7, Had the best 10days at sun city. Big shout out to Beko, hes so helpful and fun. Always something for everyone to do. Will definitely go back.

First time staying here, myself and my husband. We have really enjoyed it. The location is great, 10/15 minute walk to beach but the hotel does a free shuttle bus a few times a day. Great atmosphere all day and night. The animation team is great, friendly and make sure your having fun all the time. Special mention to Beko who makes sure kids and adults both have a great time. Always has a smile on his face and a laugh with everyone. Our room was fine, bed extremely comfy and lots of room. We feel it’s good value, enough drink selection and nice food. My husband is quite a fussy eater but he always found something he liked. Lots of salad and different choices each day. There is a snack bar in the afternoon too. Three different pools, two big water slides and also a baby slide in the baby pool. Reps are very helpful. We would recommend
