Trendy Palm Beach

We booked this hotel for our honeymoon, and unfortunately it turned out to be a very mixed experience. On the positive side, the hotel was spotlessly clean, and the rooms in the annex appeared very new and modern. The adults-only concept was a real bonus, and although the food catered more towards German and Eastern European tastes, it was generally good. The à la carte Italian restaurant was outstanding, and the service there was excellent. The staff worked incredibly hard to keep the hotel clean and tidy, but it often felt like there simply weren't enough facilities for the number of guests staying. There were long queues at the bars, meal times were extremely busy, and it was often difficult to find somewhere to sit. One thing worth mentioning is that there is a steady uphill walk to the annex buildings, which wasn't mentioned anywhere before booking. It wasn't a problem for us, but it's something guests with mobility issues may wish to be aware of. The hotel is close to the beach, but getting a sunbed was almost impossible. Guests reserved loungers from early morning with towels and belongings, despite signs throughout the hotel saying this wasn't allowed. Even after asking staff for help, nothing was done, and they simply shrugged their shoulders. I even have photos of empty loungers that remained unused all day but were still "reserved." This was the same around the pool. It made what should have been a relaxing holiday unnecessarily stressful. The beach setup also wasn't ideal. The loungers were packed together very tightly, and the shade structures resembled bus shelters. The larger canopy covers were secured with zip ties, several of which broke during our stay. They blew off in the wind and struck guests, which felt genuinely dangerous. Outside the hotel, getting around was easy. The bus from the top of the hill costs just €1 per person each way and takes you towards Side. From the bus stop, it's a pleasant walk into the old town or you can take the land train for very little money. Side itself is absolutely beautiful. We also booked a private sunset yacht trip with Sila-1 Boat Tours, which was one of the highlights of our honeymoon. They collected us from the hotel and returned us afterwards without any issues. Highly recommended. The biggest disappointment, however, was how our disabilities were handled. We both travel with autism and anxiety. Before booking, we contacted both the hotel and TUI to arrange a late checkout because having a calm, private space to prepare before the airport is extremely important for us. We also made it clear this was our honeymoon. When we arrived, the hotel had no record of these arrangements. Throughout the week, several members of staff assured us it would be sorted at checkout, but nothing happened. On the day we were due to leave, I eventually spoke with a manager. He stated, in his exact words, that "every hotel in the world" has a 12pm checkout and there is no guaranteed late checkout. This was a very strange response considering the discussions we'd had before travelling. After I explained again about our disabilities, he offered a 5pm checkout for £60. I asked what other facilities were available for showering, changing clothes and storing luggage before our evening flight, but instead of answering my questions, he repeatedly pushed the late checkout price sheet in front of me and pointed at the August charge of £45. During our conversation, he was then handed a phone and simply started speaking to someone else while I was standing there. It was incredibly rude and made me feel completely insignificant. He then walked away, instructed another member of staff to deal with me, and they immediately asked me to sign paperwork and pay, despite me never agreeing to the late checkout. The money was never the issue. This had all been discussed before booking because of our disabilities, and we had been reassured beforehand. Instead, I spent the entire holiday worrying about what would happen on our final day, only to end up arguing with management on what should have been a stress-free end to our honeymoon. Overall, while the hotel has some positives, they were outweighed by the overcrowding, the ongoing issue with sunbed reservations, and the poor handling of our accessibility needs. Sadly, I would not recommend this hotel and would choose somewhere else in the future.

This is my 2nd time at this hotel and I really can not fault it at all. Burhan on reception was so quick to help us with a room problem that we had, it was sorted quickly and efficiently, he really could not do enough to help. The team in the dining room are amazing, Deniz being my absolute favourite, always smiling, so very polite and professional, she really could not do enough for us. To be honest the whole team are an absolute credit to the hotel. The bar staff, once again fabulous, always with a smile and a keenness to please. The entertainment team are fantastic, they really do go above and beyond beyond. The chambermaids that cleaned the rooms do an fabulous job, the hotel is absolutely immaculate, the maintenance team…once again fabulous! The location is spot on, the hotel sits on its own beach with plenty of sunbeds, lifeguards ate always on duty. Beach area is very clean as is the pool. There ate waterslides available, which we all need to have a go on!! Over all I have no complaints whatsoever and I would definitely recommend to anyone. Definitely a 5* with 5* service.

Fantastic stay. Any issues, Burhan, part of the reception team resolved immediately. He was extremely helpful and spoke excellent English always with a smile. Other staff members who delivered great service were Deniz and Calgar( think it’s pronounced Challav)in the dining hall and Ardil on the bar. Fantastic staff members who went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic holiday

Recently spent a week at Trendy Palm Beach with my husband. We had a room in the annex (not main building) with a partial sea view. Room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed. Only a short walk to the main building for food and pools and access to the beach. Staff were friendly, attentive and went out of their way to make sure you had what you needed. Housekeeping was great and rooms cleaned daily. The hotel is set up mainly for German and other European tourists so the lifts speak in German. The food offers a wide variety each day but don’t expect a full English breakfast menu. Always lots of fresh fruit, meats and cheese on offer and the cakes/patisserie is out of this world! Al a carte restaurants to visit which offer amazing food and service. Activities throughout the day such as yoga, water gym, beach volleyball and darts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Only negatives for us: smoking allowed pretty much everywhere. Even where there was a no smoking area around the pool (which we sat in) people would smoke and turn the sign around. This was not ‘policed’. We would be eating and people on the next table would begin smoking. As non smokers this made our experience less enjoyable. On the whole, a lovely hotel, private beach and clean pool, staff who are so friendly. Plenty of food and drink on offer. We would visit again.

A modern clean hotel with friendly staff throughout. Food plentiful with lots of variety depending on personal tastes. Decent entertainment too. Plenty of subbed whenever you surfaced. Very attentive staff and nothing too much trouble. Big shout out to Omer from the day pool bar, Erol who is usually at the main restaurant. Mohammed at the evening pool bar. Saliah keeping the restrooms and bar area spotless and Ergan the Day manager. A very special thanks to Saliah , Omer and the team for taking care of me when I suffered from heat exhaustion. We loved our holiday and will be back.
