Bodrum Park Resort

I visited Bodrum park resort in October with my family. There was 13 of us celebrating a 70th and 21st birthday. We had a nice time and the resort is lovely. Food could be better but we did find something to eat for all mealtimes. October feels out of season so some things were not open. Stand out staff member for us was Kaan who worked the overnight shift at the 24/7 bar. He made the best cocktails by far and was always so friendly and welcoming.

This is a must-visit and very enjoyable hotel. The sea is like an aquarium. The food is excellent, and they serve an open buffet. The staff is very friendly. Everyone, from the general manager on down, is very helpful.

The location was amazing, but first time disappointed with TUI we expected 5 star and that is not what we got. Cold showers anytime during day / night, Not set up for English as most waiting staff / some bar staff don’t understand English. Alcohol varieties:- Ran out on 3 occasions in the evening during the 10 days on at least 4 of the alcohols we drink in ALL bars, spoke to night manager / manager on each occasion - each time different excuse (Sunday shops close early, they said they had but when checked they didn't). We’re not big drinkers but would be nice to have a couple in the evening. Food:- Cold food, only heated underneath not above so was cold within minutes of being put out. Eggs at breakfast cooked and put in warming oven - but cold when taken out. Only thing hot was made to order omelettes & some food in containers with lids (not all the time). We all (4 of us) have experienced tummy upsets as a result Quality:- Chipped plates - there was always chipped plates & different size / types of plates at each food station. Also on several occasions we had beer served in wine glasses as run out of an alternative glass, and on 3 occasions the gas in the beer station ran out so long wait (10 to 15 minutes queuing) while they went to lobby bar for beer and brought down to restaurant. Cleanliness :- Floor not clean after room cleaned so feet were dirty when got out of shower & walked around. The rooms looked tired - ours was club room (highest class), We have been going 5 star with TUI for over 25 years and first holiday felt misled on standard and disappointed.

This was my second year at Bodrum Park Resort, I can compare the years and give my honest opinions. Last year we’re fascinated how good the hotel was , especially à la cart restaurants and the little house where we stayed. But this year everything changed , first of all , we went at the end of September start of October which means it’s almost the end of the season, the hotel was quite full but the facilities that you get at the start of the season you won’t get them at the end of the season. We booked via love holidays and got the standard room as last year , this year they gave us a hotel room right beside the reception and the main restaurant which was really noisy, the bathroom was smelling so bad that you couldn’t stay inside , had the leave the balcony door open to get the smell out. The single bed that my 3 year old child got was a foldable bed , could even seat on it never mind to sleep. Of course I went to the reception and asked them if it’s possible to get a house with a garden view , didn’t even bother to try looking for a new room. Public toilets were horrible, they never cleaned the toilets while we were there, horrible smell all around the hotel. 2 out of 4 à la cart restaurants were closed because it was the end of the season, again , paid the same price as the full season and I don’t get the same standards and facilities. This hotel is definitely not a 5 star hotel, more likely 3 including the food and the facilities. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone, lack of professionalism, unhappy customers
