Garden Plaza Saigon   

For the fast reader: I've stayed here on and off for ten years — added up, close to a year of nights — first as PARKROYAL, now as Garden Plaza. Same team, same standard, same prices; only the sign out front changed. The rooms are a little dated; everything else is exactly why I keep coming back: a pool that's a genuine oasis of calm, five minutes from the airport, and staff who solve problems before you've finished asking. Five stars. Full review:  The pool is the heart of it — a quiet oasis in the middle of the city's noise. Some days it's calm, some days there's an airline crew unwinding, a Vietnamese wedding, or a business party poolside. I like that mix. The building has an older, old-fashioned-luxury feel — in the best way. Arrival tells you everything. If they know your flight, someone is waiting at the airport, whatever the hour — no taxi haggling, no cash, no language gymnastics, and a cold bottle of water waiting in the car. A small detail, worth gold after a long flight. Yes, the furniture is a touch dated — that's fair. But black stone bathroom floors, a window between the bathtub and the bedroom, big comfortable beds, spotless sheets, and a room reset to perfection every single day are the real story. On my last stay they'd reupholstered the chair and sofa, and — without my asking — swapped my older TV for a smart-TV setup, simply because they noticed. Breakfast is a rich buffet; I always start with the Pho. I know part of this is loyalty being repaid — but I watch them try just as hard for every guest, and that's what earns it. Things do go wrong sometimes: early construction next door once, unstable WiFi another time. One call each — noise sorted in five minutes, a repeater in my room within the hour. A special mention to Mrs. Phuong in the Spa — the most skilled massage therapist I've found anywhere, serious and professional, and wonderfully relaxing. One wish: a small rotating "chef's special" of one or two authentic Vietnamese dishes for guests to discover. I'll be back — next time with my son.

I stay at this hotel regularly. It's in a great location, close to the airport. The rooms are quiet and very comfortable to sleep in. The service is excellent, and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, and the food is very good.

The staff are amazing and special mention for Sang as a 1st class waiter and Tu as a very considerate porter. It was our 36th wedding anniversary trip and they couldn’t have done any more to please us. The hotel facilities I would rate as 4.5 star but ALL the meals and staff are 5 star ! It’s One of the main reasons we returned. All The staff are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is any bother. Pool is also clean and refreshing. Thanks for the memorable stay.

Beautiful hotel located near the airport with a great pool! The hotel service staff is very friendly and goes beyond in helping you with your requests. I can highly recommend the lunch- and dinner buffet. The bed is very comfortable, as is the bath. Because of the various lamps in the rooms, you can create your own ambiance in the room. Daily cleaning is a very big plus, and bottles of water are given for free each day. I stayed here for 5 weeks and enjoyed my stay immensely.

I am very lucky to travel around the world with my job. And so along came another trip to Saigon, my third visit in recent years and with it, the usual enquiry to my company regarding which hotel i will stay in. When working, a hotel is a hotel - they are all much the same. I was told i would be going to the Garden Plaza Saigon - a new one for me, so i did not have any idea if it was good or bad. On arrival, immediately i noticed something different. The Concierge greeted me by name (how did he know when i hadn't checked in yet?), the reception girls did the same. And this is what makes the Garden Plaza Saigon different - the staff. The nicest, friendliest, smiliey people you could wish to meet. Not only the "front of house" team, but also the chefs, the assistant sales director, room service staff and cleaners. Every one of the team had time to talk and were very polite, and that is a very rare thing in most hotels. And the rooms are comfortable and quiet, the breakfast is very good, and the hotel is 5 minutes from the airport and 10 to 15 minutes from the city centre. Thank you GP team, you are the best! Be proud of yourselves.
