JAZ Elite Aurora Beach

We recently spent a few days at Jaz Elite Aurora in Michamvi Kae and it was an absolute dream. The resort strikes the perfect balance between sleek, modern design and warm hospitality. Watching the sunset over the water from the jetty quickly became our favorite daily routine. Our room was spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable with strong air conditioning and a private balcony that offered lovely views over the property. The food across the resort was consistently great with plenty of fresh variety at the main restaurant and an incredible dining setup right on the jetty. Beyond just relaxing by the massive main pool, having padel courts and a peaceful spa on-site gave us plenty to do throughout the stay. What really made the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely warm, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we checked in. It is a fantastic spot for a quiet, high-end tropical escape, and we would come back in a heartbeat!

We’re here for just under two weeks and are just in the first few days of our family break. Pros Beach: Lovely beach when the tide is in. The sand is like talcum powder. The beach is public and so you do get sellers on it but they are respectful and take no for an answer. Hotel: the communal areas of the hotel and design are very good. A really nice modern vibe. Lots of communal areas to relax in and whilst the hotel isn’t the biggest it currently feels busy enough without feeling crowded. Cons: Food: very minutes selection. Whilst some reviews mention good gluten free options. It’s not true. We have yet to find something that is specifically gluten free beyond the obvious fruit and salads. On asking for it, staff don’t seem to know what it is. As the food options at the buffet are very limited, to be honest you are left hungry. I’m sitting here having ordered a simple omelette for breakfast and it is so under cooked it is unsafe. With drinks at the bar, they always seem to be out of things. Just tried to pick up a couple of bottles of water and they are out of water! It feels as if this is a five star hotel being run on a shoe string. Whilst I’m up for people not wasting food etc, there should at least be better choice. On service, whilst in the main people are smiley, service is incredibly slow. Hear at breakfast now for 45 mins and no one has come to ask for a drinks order. Yesterday for a coffee we waited 40 minutes in the breeze bar. And it’s not an issue of no staff, there are loads cleaning and circulating but no one seems to be trying to coordinate them to serve guests. It gets annoying waiting after a while and you could convince yourself it’s deliberate so you don’t get as many drinks as other resorts. The rooms: they smell musty which for a new hotel is poor. The minibar is charged extra. Every hotel of this grade I’ve stayed at before has a free mini bar with some limited selections but not here. Our room was cleaned but old towels removed and new ones not left. We called and waited almost an hour to get new towels whilst we were waiting to have a shower to go to dinner. This is a great location but is a let down and depending on how the rest of the holiday goes, I don’t think I’d recommend the distance to travel from the UK for the experience.

Started off our stay here with a few hiccups however they were resolved with care and attention by Hardik. He ensured that my special veg meals were delicious and plenty.

A special thank you to the animation team, especially Justini, for the energy, enthusiasm, and fun they brought every day. The entertainment and activities were fantastic and created a wonderful atmosphere for everyone without ever being intrusive. The hotel is beautiful, the facilities are excellent, and the hospitality made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. Thank you to Justini and the entire team for making our holiday unforgettable. I highly recommend Jaz Elite Aurora and can't wait to come back!
